Turquoise, it seems, is more than just a summer fling. Swiss luxury watchmaker OMEGA has doubled down on its recent pivot towards turquoise gradient dials, unveiling two stunning new references in the Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M collection. Available in either a 38mm or 41mm case size, the vibrant new editions continue OMEGA’s shift away from the deep, dark waters we usually associate with the dive watch category and towards a playful new destination. Make no mistake, though, when it comes to specifications, the latest Aqua Terra Turquoise Editions are all business.

OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra Turquoise Collection

The latest update to the Aqua Terra collection comes just months after OMEGA unveiled the first run of turquoise gradient dial models. Released in December 2024, the models introduce a vibrant lacquered dial complete with a turquoise hue, contrasted by darker shades of blue. According to the brand, the gradient effect was designed to imitate colours that “shift like sunlight through water”. Design-wise, that watch also featured bold, dark grey PVD-coated indices and hands, adding a sense of contrast to the vivid colour scheme.

For the 2025 edition, OMEGA has kept the formula relatively unchanged, maintaining the trapezoid date window at 6 o’clock, highly legible minutes track and fumé-style turquoise gradient dial. The most significant update to the model, however, is the bezel. While the previous iterations featured a polished stainless steel construction, the latest versions increase the rugged durability of the Aqua Terra collection with a scratch-resistant black ceramic bezel. As far as we can tell, it’s the very same ceramic bezel used in OMEGA’s Aqua Terra Worldtimer models; however, it’s the first time we’ve seen it on the 150M collection.

Ceramic Bezel

The use of ceramic is notable for three main reasons: the first being its scratch-resistant qualities. By crafting the bezel from this material, OMEGA has ensured that the bezel, which is among the most vulnerable areas of the timepiece, is protected from various nicks and bumps. The robust material is well-known for its exceptional hardness and is also impervious to ultraviolet rays produced by the sun, which cause fading in other materials.

For OMEGA, the move also signals a shift away from the dressier undertone of last year’s steel Aqua Terra models and further towards rugged dive watch territory. The stainless steel bezel editions released in 2024, while stunning, definitely skewed towards formal attire. The emphasis on durability for 2025 marks a welcome change of tack, seeing OMEGA once again embrace the functional ethos that ultimately underpins the Seamaster collection. Finally, ceramic is a far lighter material than stainless steel, providing enhanced ergonomics and improving overall wearability, even if the difference is marginal.

New Strap

Elsewhere, OMEGA has also updated the strap, switching 2024’s stainless steel option for an integrated black structured rubber strap. This new addition is highlighted by contrasting turquoise stitching that OMEGA says “creates a striking visual connection to the dial”.

Calibre Movements

Inside, there are some slight differences between references. The 41mm model is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8900, which serves up 60 hours of power reserve, while the 38mm model features the Calibre 8800, offering 55 hours. Each movement is certified to withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss and carries METAS certification for precision and performance. As with all modern Seamaster models, you’ll also find a Co-Axial escapement for long-lasting precision, alongside a silicon balance spring for superior anti-magnetism.

Pricing and Availability

The latest OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra Turquoise models are non-limited and available to purchase at OMEGA boutiques and online now. Both the 38mm and 41mm references are priced at AUD$12,350 and arrive on an integrated black rubber strap, which includes turquoise stitching and a foldover clasp.
