Feel-Good Friday is a bit weird this week, falling on our national day of remembrance – ANZAC Day – where we remember the Australians, New Zealanders, and Tongans that fought and died in the First World War.
In typical Australian fashion, though, we back up that remembrance by going to pubs and gambling, so I guess Feel-Good Friday is an appropriate title for the day after all. This week, we’re gonna focus on a bunch of fun, delicious, or interesting stuff that’s happened throughout the week in the hopes you’ll find something fun to check out. Happy Feel-Good Friday everyone!

Young Henrys, Fitzroy Football Club launch Collab Beer
This week, our friends at Young Henry’s brewery and Fitzroy Football Club launched a brand new beer: the Fitzroy Draught. The drop is the latest collaboration between the two brands, which have worked together for the past three years to support grassroots football, as well as local communities and venues. The Fitzroy Draught is a clean, crisp lager, according to Young Henrys, and comes in at 4% ABV.
“The beer in your hand is as comfy as a pair of footy shorts, with a solid kick of flavour from a good dose of whirlpool addition Topaz hops. Game-day beers never tasted so good,” Young Henrys head brewer Jesse Seals said.
We’ll have to give it a crack and report back ourselves. It’ll be available across Melbourne bottle shops and venues this weekend, so keep an eye out!

KFC’s limited-time, boneless Habanero Hot & Crispy Wings
When it comes to quick, tasty chicken, KFC is a mainstay for us at the Man of Many office. This week we were lucky enough to get a chance to try out the new Habanero Hot & Crispy boneless wings, and they were honestly delicious.
The new offering is essentially KFC’s already popular Hot & Crispy boneless wings trickled with a well-balanced habanero sauce that packs a punch while still staying sweet. Unfortunately, the new wing offering is only available until June 2, so if you want to get involved, make sure you do it soon.
You can pick up the wings as a three or six-piece pack, or as a combo with chips and drinks. Or, if you want to go full KFC mode, you can grab the ‘Habanero Hot & Crispy Boneless Variety Feast’, that comes with six of the Habanero Hot & Crispy wings, four Original Tenders, six Nuggets, a Potato & Gravy, regular corn, a large chips, and a drink.
I wouldn’t eat all of that on your own though, share the love and brings some friends along. Your stomach will thank you.

Dogs rejoice as Cat-Flavoured Pies now on the menu
An Auckland pastry institution, Muzza’s Pies, has added a treat specifically for our four-legged friends. Well, some of our four-legged friends, anyway.
The business’ new ‘Cat-Flavoured Dog Pies’ are delivering what every dog has always wanted – a taste of the forbidden feline. Thankfully, Muzza’s is quick to confirm that no actual cats were harmed in the making of the pies, and 10 per cent of every Dog Pie sale will be donated to a local shelter focusing on canine welfare, ‘Chained Dog Rehabilitation and Rehoming’. Love that!
“We’ve always been about bringing people together over great pies, and we’ve seen firsthand how much our customers love sharing a treat with their dogs,” said Muzza’s owner John Williams.
“So we wanted to create something special just for them while also giving back to dogs in need. And let’s be honest, the idea of replicating cat flavours in a pie for dogs gave us a good laugh – we just had to do it!”
If you’re in the Auckland area, take your pupper to Muzza’s and give them a special treat. Not only will you also get a delicious treat, you’ll be helping re-home and rehabilitate dogs in need.

A Big, Big Week for Space
If you’re less interested in the goings-on of our universe, there’s a good chance you missed a few big bits of news this week.
Firstly, a group of British and US researchers are pretty sure they’ve found the best evidence we’ve got of extraterrestrial life. Simply put, using the James Webb Space Telescope, astronomers detected signs of certain gases that (on Earth) are only made through biological processes – specifically, dimethyl sulfide and dimethyl disulfide, which are generated largely by phytoplankton.
The measurements came as the researchers were observing K2-18b, a planet long believed to be capable of housing an ocean. While the news is exciting, it’s worth noting that nothing has been confirmed, and that the scientists themselves are now looking to reconfirm their readings.
Secondly, another group of astronomers found Tatooine. You know, the desert planet from Star Wars? Well, in reality they found a planet that somehow orbits two stars, rather than just one, and does so in a way that hasn’t been observed anywhere else in the universe.
See, these twin suns seem to be gravitationally locked to circle each other, while the planet in question loops above and below the two stars. It’s the first time an orbit of this kind has been spotted, and could lead the way to new discoveries in the future.
