DreamHack is a Massive Gaming Festival Coming to Melbourne Next Week

Prepare your ethernet cables because DreamHack has locked in the dates for its Melbourne event running from September 2-4 2022. Tickets are officially on sale via the links below and participants should expect a full three days of festival activities with some of the world’s best professional gamers competing for their share in a prize pool worth USD$100,000.

What started as a gathering of friends and their computers in a school cafeteria has grown into a beacon of internet culture and a gathering place for gamers worldwide featuring everything gaming under one roof. In addition to the giant prize pool, DreamHack will be home to Australia’s Largest Counter-Strike tournament, as well as other fan favourite tournaments such as League of Legends and the world’s biggest Halo league with spectators invited to cheer on their teams.

DreamHack Melbourne is set to feature the biggest range of eSports and gaming content ever seen at an Australian festival. We’ve mentioned the tournaments, but this isn’t just an event for professionals. Gamers who are interested in a spot of casual gaming can head over to the Centrepiece arena where it will transform into a 200-person Bring-Your-Own-PC LAN spectacular (giant LAN party), with 24-hour access and games running across the weekend.

“Gaming brought, and kept, us together during these challenging times all around the world, so I cannot begin to share how excited we are to be back in person with our community. DreamHack creates a space for our community to connect, explore, win, play, and be themselves through an interactive, gaming lifestyle experience – and while we are offering DreamHack Winter as a LAN-only event, bringing our full festivals back to life next year is going to make for some very special experiences for our community of fans,” said Krzysztof Pikiewicz, SVP of Festivals, ESL Gaming.

Tickets to DreamHack Melbourne are on sale through Ticketek via the link below and start from AUD$50 for adults and AUD$30 for children. These tickets will give you the chance to experience the DreamHack expo, concourse activities, content creator meet-and-greets, and on-ground competitions.
