In what could be a last-minute bid at the best collaboration for 2019, Pringles has teamed up with Rick and Morty to release a Pickle Rick flavoured chips. Yep, if you can get over the fact that a pickle-flavoured chip sounds absolutely revolting, this could be the perfect snack for when you’re tucking into Season 4 of Rick and Morty on Netflix.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll vividly remember the undisputed best episode of the cult cartoon where Rick turns himself into a rat murdering, family therapy dodging, pickle. Carrying on the mad scientist trend, these pickles will undoubtedly be one of the strangest snacks out of the United States since the invention of cheese in a can or Turducken (look it up).
This particular Pringles launch will be accompanied by a 30-second Superbowl ad that will air in the second quarter. Gareth Maguire, senior director of marketing for Pringles, said in a statement: “We want to do something completely new for the brand for the 2020 Big Game and are thrilled to be partnering with Adult Swim and Rick and Morty, a show which continues to grow in popularity year after year and enjoys a cult fan following”.
We’re not a hundred per cent sure if the Pickle Rick Pringles will be available in Australia but, if they are, you’ll be the first to know.
