Star Wars Receives the Arrested Development Treatment Thanks to Ron Howard

In what’s guaranteed to be the best thing you will see all day, Star Wars: A New Hope has received a brief cut edited in the vein of cult comedy series Arrested Development.

The new take of the classic film appears as one of the previously on Arrested Development opening sequences. The video summarises the plot of A New Hope while hilariously pointing out all the discrepancies between the prequel and original trilogies. Best of all, the video features the voice of none other than Arrested Development narrator and legendary filmmaker Ron Howard.

The spoof appeared earlier this week on The Star Wars Show, a weekly web series dedicated to all thing a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Thank Gizmodo for bringing it to our attention.

As for Ron Howard, you can see his brand new film Solo: A Star Wars Story in Australian cinemas from May 24. For Arrested Development, the highly anticipated 5th season is expected to hit Netflix “soon.”
