‘GolfSpace’ Launch Sydney’s First Indoor Golf Club with Boutique Café and Bar

Golfspace has recently announced the opening of Sydney’s first indoor golf club, offering players an entirely new way to experience the game. As we know, the course can be an intimidating arena filled with unimaginable embarrassment and shame. However, GolfSpace aims to provide a sanctuary for all skill levels, making it an ideal spot for friends to discuss swing mechanics and dial in their game. Using modern technology, the facility offers a unique alternative to traditional forms of practice and play. With over 1000 people already signing up as members, the golf community looks to be fully embracing the club. Maybe, just maybe, they can finally fix your dirty slice too…

Located in Alexandria, GolfSpace features the latest in golf technology as well as an architecturally designed bar and cafe stocked with boutique beers, wines and a range of snacks. Over 1550 square metres, GolfSpace features twelve TrackMan golf simulator bays, Australia’s first PuttView augmented reality putting green, and a unique 35 metre Wedge Calibration Zone. Additionally, the simulators make it possible to play 18 holes at more than 140 of the world’s top courses, including Pebble Beach, St Andrews and PGA National, in 1-hour instead of the usually 4-5 hour slog.

Founder Dean Dewhirst explains that unlike a driving range or traditional on-course golf lesson, GolfSpace provides a unique way to develop your complete game. He comments, “We know the majority of people spend their time at the driving range or lessons hitting balls aimlessly into the sunset, with no feedback about how they’re doing or where it’s really going. At GolfSpace, we’ve created a unique, welcoming and social golf club experience that combines a team of experts and the latest tech to hone your whole game, not just your swing.”

The state-of-the-art facility is loaded with high-tech gadgets that allow users to track and monitor their progress. The instant feedback on each shot provides a plethora of information that players can use to implement changes and see results in real-time. It also gives PGA Pro coaches like GolfSpace’s Emma Ash a deeper understanding of their client’s swing. Ash recently spoke about how GolfSpace is making the game more approachable and encouraging more people to enjoy the game of golf.

“Anyone can play golf, but we know it can be a daunting sport and difficult for people to get time on a course. Learning in a virtual environment removes the fear for beginners and makes it easier for everyone to build their confidence and knowledge of the game. This is why GolfSpace has created a supportive and encouraging space and offer a levelling-up approach to learning that provides a framework to measure your progress and help you grow as a golfer,” said Ash

GolfSpace offers ‘pay-as-you-go’ social memberships or unlimited packages with complimentary use of all facilities, plus a choice of coaching packs and programs through the GolfSpace Academy. For the complete list of membership options and pricing, jump onto the GofSpace website.
