Welcome to Sneaker News #24. Love is in the air for this edition with adidas, Nike and New Balance prepping Valentine’s Day releases. There are plenty of pink and red tones this week but if you’re not feeling the love this year then there’s more to feast your eyes on. Nike and New Balance have a few muted colourway drops on the way too of silhouettes that have proved to be hugely popular. Check it all out below.

Nike Dunk High ‘Dark Curry’

Right now, there’s not a week that goes by without a Dunk release. This time around, Nike is rolling out another Dunk High colourway, going with a ‘Dark Curry’ colourways. Spurred on by the popularity of Travis Scott’s earthy colourways, this take sticks to black and brown colours as it blends suede and leather. It’s set to drop 6th February at Nike.

Air Force 1 Valentines Day

Air Force 1 ‘07 ‘Valentine’s Day’

Valentine’s Day is the defining date of this month and there are plenty of loved-up sneakers for the taking. The classic Air Force 1 has been given a makeover, delivering one of the most exciting Valentine’s Day shoes. Naturally, it’s been given a pink, white and red colourway but it’s the small details that will make you fall in love like the love-shaped air holes or the love letter on the tongue. It’s dropping on 6th February so you can have the shoes in time for the big day.

Air Jordan 1 High 85 ‘Neutral Grey’

The classic Air Jordan 1 is getting some classic colourways this year set to excite both the die-hards and casual fans. The ‘Neutral Grey’ is as clean as they come – a mostly crisp white shoe with subtle grey accents. This drop takes it back to 1985 with retro packaging and a bag that will note what pair of the 23,000 being made you have. Cop on 10th February. You’ll have to be very quick.

adidas ZX 1000 ‘Krusty Burger’

Simpsons burger chain Krusty Burger isn’t exactly synonymous with exercise but adidas are using it as inspiration for a new ZX 1000 anyway. adidas is currently rolling through its A-ZX series, offering a new sneaker for each letter of the alphabet. Krusty satisfies the ‘K’ and it’s a delectable, cartoonish shoe that looks like a deconstructed burger. Get it on 11th February at adidas.

adidas has given its classic Superstar shoe a loving renovation just in time for Valentine’s Day. As always, the Superstar stays classic, simply adding red accents and a heart around the adidas logo. New Balance 57/40 ‘Romantic Choice’

New Balance’s Valentine’s Day shoe is a bold one. Its 57/40 shoe is a brand new silhouette and this heart-like colourway is one of the first of the shoe to be released. Hues of pink and red collide as pink dominates the upper while red is relegated to the sole. No one will miss these shoes while on. 6th February is the day you’ll be able to grab on New Balance.

New Balance 237

New Balance has a number of new silhouettes being rolled out this year. The 237 is a paired-back take on its hugely successful silhouette that dominated last year. This colour-blocked shoe has a heavy ‘70s inspiration bringing together mustard, red, navy blue and olive for a classic look. It’s out 6th February at New Balance.

Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Taupe Haze’

Many are tipping the Air Jordan 4 to be one of the big shoes of the year. Muted tones of olive and black dominate the shoe as mesh windows collide with a cracked construction aesthetic. Online, comparisons have been drawn to a Travis Scott Friends & Family pair released a few years back. The shoe will be released sometime in February. Keep an eye on Subtype and Nike for updates.
