The timeless beauty of the Jaguar E-Type is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary this year, and British watchmaker Bremont is marking the date with a collaborative Bremont x Jaguar E-Type 60th Watch Set. The limited-edition box set includes a wristwatch and a rally timer, and Jaguar is throwing in a bonus automotive experience that will be hosted by Jaguar Classic.

The limited edition watch comes with a 43 mm stainless steel watch and two-colour versions—“Flat Out Grey” and “Drop Everything Green.” Each colour version will have just 60 pieces made. The special colors are featured on the bezel and on the matching leather straps. Bremont channelled the iconic car in the design of the watch, including many details that directly reference the car.
The black dial of the watch mirrors that of the instrument gauges in the E-Type. The hour and minute hands are chamfered and perfectly recreate the car’s tachometer needle. The winding crown is engraved with the pattern of the Dunlop racing tires. Jaguar E-Type, Flip the watch over and you’ll see the automatic winding rotor through the sapphire crystal case back. The rotor is made to look like an alloy version of the E-Type’s spoked steering wheel. The rally timer is a first for Bremont and features both a mechanical stopwatch with a tachymeter and a mechanical clock with a sub-seconds dial. The instrument can either be displayed on a desktop by mounting it on the engine-turned backplate, or you can fit it into a car.
Nick English, Bremont co-founder said the collaboration was the embodiment of British craftsmanship in its finest form. “Being able to work with a jaguar on the 60th celebration of this iconic car is a real honour,” he said. “There is so much detail and inspiration to work with on the designs and doing our first family rally timer is a perfect and fitting tribute.”
In addition to the release, the introduction of the rally timer marks a significant step forward for Bremont. The rally timer integrates two mechanical instruments, a stopwatch with a tachymeter on the left, as well as a clock with sub-seconds on the right. Both are mounted on a beautiful engine-turned back plate, which can be displayed on a desktop stand or fitted into a car.
If you’re one of the lucky 120 individuals to get one of these watch and rally timer sets, you’ll also be treated to the opportunity to drive three E-Types at Jaguar’s Fen End Facility in Birmingham, UK. Getting one of the sets will cost you though, with the price of the watches set at USD$14,495 (AUD$19,495). But the price is worth it for a watch that easily matches the car that inspired it—a car that even Enzo Ferrari called “the most beautiful car ever made.”
