The year is moving fast, and as we welcome February, so too do we welcome the next edition of our regular series, The Wind-Up. Charting all the latest releases to rock the watch world, including a few special editions, this edition is a brief glimpse at the industry’s most ambitious maison. What’s more, it’s about to get bigger.
We are just a few short weeks away from the launch of Watches & Wonders for 2025 with the annual industry showcase set to deliver a swag of incredible timepieces and novelties. Until then, we’ve got a vibrant new tourbillon from H. Moser & Cie, a surprising addition from Ulysse Nardin, another knockit from Raymond Weil, and Muppets-themed Oris. Happy reading, fellas, and have a great week ahead.

H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer Tourbillon Burgundy
- Brand: H. Moser & Cie.
- Model: Pioneer Tourbillon Burgundy
- Reference: Ref. 3805-0400
- Diameter: 40mm
- Thickness: 12mm
- Movement: Calibre HMC 805
- Power Reserve: 72 hours
- Water Resistance: 120m
- Price: CHF59,900
H. Moser & Cie. introduced the latest variation of its highly acclaimed Pioneer Tourbillon, this time with a striking Burgundy coloured dial and a red gold case. I rather like the sleek contrast between the deep red of the Burgundy against the warmth of the red gold, which extends to the hands and hour markers.
Perhaps the most notable feature of the H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer Tourbillon Burgundy is indeed that brilliant double hairspring flying tourbillon, but you can’t ignore the deep red hue that surrounds it. I find it odd that it comes on a rubber strap (also available with an alligator leather or textile strap), but being part of the Pioneer family means that it’s also one meant to be a sportier, more durable piece.

Ulysse Nardin Blast Amoureuxpeintre
- Brand: Ulysse Nardin
- Model: Blast Amoureuxpeintre
- Reference: Ref. 3713-260LE-9A-SEVER/0A
- Diameter: 42mm
- Movement: Calibre UN-371
- Power Reserve: 96 hours
- Water Resistance: 50. metres
- Price: USD32,700 (Limited to 29 pieces)
New from Ulysse Nardin and a surprising addition to its Blast collection is the Blast Amoureuxpeintre. Made in collaboration with Vsevolod “Sever” Cherepanov, a Kyrgyz streetwear designer also known as Amoureuxpeintre, the Blast Amoureuxpeintre incorporates the visual drama that best personifies both the watchmaker and the designer.
What we have is a sandblasted titanium case with a frosted sapphire dial which in itself hides Ulysse Nardin’s trademark skeletonised X-movement. It’s an interesting visual that marries the worlds of avant garde contemporary fashion with some bona fide horology endeavours.

Raymond Weil Millesime Centre Seconds Shellman Limited Edition
- Brand: Raymond Weil
- Model: Millesime Centre Seconds Shellman Limited Edition
- Reference: Ref. 2925-STC-JAP01
- Diameter: 39.50mm
- Thickness: 9.25mm
- Movement: Calibre RW4200
- Power Reserve: 41 hours
- Water Resistance: 50 metres
- Price: JPY308,000 (Limited to 30 pieces)
Raymond Weil partnered with Japanese retailer Shellman in its latest creation, the Millesime Centre Seconds Shellman Limited Edition. While it is based on the original Millesime Centre Seconds model, the Raymond Weil Millesime Centre Seconds Shellman Limited Edition has some noticeable (and some discreet) changes.
The first is the colour of the dial, stylised in the “sector” layout with a two-tone champagne-gold colourway, topped off by a single Breguet numeral at 12 o’clock. Perhaps not as obvious is its slimmer profile, coming in at 1mm thinner at 9.25mm in thickness, too.

Oris ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition
- Brand: Oris
- Model: ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition
- Reference: Ref. 01 531 7796 4158-07 8 17 05LC
- Diameter: 34mm
- Material: Stainless steel
- Movement: Calibre Oris 531
- Power Reserve: 42 hours
- Water Resistance: 100 metres
- Price: USD3,200
Oris’ creativity and willingness to push the envelope knows no bounds, and in the ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition, this is no less evident. Sporting a hot pink dial, a synthetic diamond for the 12 o’clock marker and a picture of Miss Piggy in an aperture on the caseback, the ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition is certainly not for those looking for something that won’t draw eyes.
The knurled bezel, integrated bracelet, and movement continue to be the consistent theme for the ProPilot X. While the piece might be all fun and games, it’s important to remember that it is robust, durable, and wonderfully well put together.

Alexander “The Great” Volkanovski Teams Up with Hublot
LVMH watch maison Hublot has announced mixed martial arts (MMA) legend and Australian icon Alexander “The Great” Volkanovski as a friend of the brand. Widely regarded as one of the finest pound-for-pound fighters to ever step foot in the octagon, Volkanovski’s meteoric rise to success has been nothing short of amazing. Come UFC 312 this week, the 36-year-old will receive a hero’s reception when he is formally welcomed into the Hublot family.
The event, which will be held in Sydney, marks somewhat of a homecoming for Volkanovski. Born in Wollongong to Greek and Macedonian parents, Volkanovski started his sporting career playing rugby league, but a chance move to MMA in 2010 ignited his now-famous passion. He won his first four fights as an amateur before turning professional and it wasn’t long before he found himself on the global stage. Speaking of his new partnership with Hublot, Volkanovski described the support as unimaginable, noting that it was a huge honour to step into the family.
“Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined when I first got into MMA nearly 15 years ago that I’d one day be able to say I’m with Hublot. It’s such a huge honour to be the first fighter in MMA history to work with Hublot and to partner with a Swiss watch company,” Volkanovski said. “Hublot’s story and style are a perfect fit for me. I love how daring the company is with its designs and movements. They’re not afraid to take risks, try new things and do things differently, which is my story and the story of my sport, too.”
While not fighting, Volkanovski will be in attendance for this weekend’s UFC 312—and he’s likely to be swarmed by fans. The legendary fighter is one of the biggest and best-loved names in the game, famously holding the UFC Featherweight Champion for five years between 2019 and 2024.
