Zegna and Real Madrid Collab Proves Every King Needs a Tailor
Italian luxury fashion house Zegna has officially partnered with Spanish professional football club Real Madrid. The news comes right after competitor AC Milan announced Virgil Abloh’s “Off-White” as their official fashion partner, a collaboration that saw the brand convert a team bus with a classic Off-White design language. In the case of Zegna x Real Madrid we prefer the traditional menswear roots of the collaboration, with the world’s leading suiting brand providing the goods to the players off the field.

The partnership was celebrated at an exclusive event in Madrid at Ciudad Real Madrid, Valdebebas. However, we were treated to an unveiling in early September during the first Champions League game of the 2022/2023 season.
“We’re thrilled about our newly announced partnership with Real Madrid, one of the most recognisable brands in the world with a loyal and enthusiastic fanbase. We’re both convinced that what is visible, either an item of clothing or winning a football match, only matters if there is an ethical stance behind it,” said Gildo Zegna, Chairman and CEO of Ermenegildo Zegna Group.
The made-to-measure clothing in this new collection is specifically designed for Real Madrid. The collection will increase over time, adding new elements and expanding possibilities as the seasons pass. Fans will be treated to Zenga’s iconic tailoring, showcased thought-out the collection.

Our favourite pieces from the collection include the chore jacket that stands out thanks to the smart use of muted black tones and Zegna’s new brand sign which appears on the upper left pocket in a tonal light-reflecting Double-stripe graphic that pays tribute to 232 Road that crosses through Oasi Zegna. The road was created as a result of the Zegna founder’s early commitments to sustainability.
We particularly like the new joggers, whose hems are made to look formal – fitting tighter to the leg and made from high-performance wool they’re not only sleek but functional. Underneath we’d pair the latest iteration of Zegna’s iconic Triple Stitch Sneaker (pictured) which is available in the new collection. Crafted from soft suede, these slip-ons feature triple-crossing elastics that reference the handmade stitches of traditionally tailored jackets.
Inspired by the partnership, the made-to-measure items blend the two brands’ heritages and are available in selected Zegna boutiques globally. More information on the collaboration can be found via the link below.
