Wild Turkey has lifted the lid on its 2023 edition of the highly sought-after ‘Master’s Keep’ collection with the release of ‘Voyage’ finished in Jamaican rum casks. Available now and priced from AUD$350, the bottle was crafted by Master Distiller Eddie Russell in partnership with Dr. Joy Spence (Master Blender of Appleton Estate rum) to reflect the 80 years of combined experience with bursting notes of tropical dried fruit, caramel, and aged oak, before chocolate and spice.
Using Eddie Russell’s hand-selected 10-year-old bourbon from Wild Turkey’s classic No. 4 char barrels as its base, the 106-proof spirit is finished with a secondary maturation period in Jamaican rum casks which previously held 14-year-old pot still rum for epic caramels. These rum casks were brought over from Appleton to Lawrenceburg, Kentucky where the secondary maturation was done in the heat of a timber rickhouse.

This is the first time Wild Turkey has been finished in rum making it a one-of-a-kind expression and something that’s meant to be enjoyed, rather than saved on a shelf.
