Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall has always been a monumental figure. However, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man and current official deadlift world record holder has undergone some serious changes in recent times. Namely, the dude is f*cking jacked. According to the strongman himself, he’s managed to shed a whopping 36kg over the last three years, going from 196kg to the slender weight of 161kg.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Hall shared a picture that is honestly hard to believe. The sheer girth of the strongman is nigh-on unfathomable, even for a guy who deadlifts 500kg. Now, trim and taught, Hall’s physique is less human bowling ball and more bodybuilder, a feat that he says has come through a complete revamp of his training and eating protocols.

Late last year, the strongman revealed hed been paying close attention to his calorie intake, following a very public call-out from arch-nemesis and fellow strongman Hafthor Bjornsson. The pair are set to battle it out in an exhibition boxing match later this year, prompting Hall to shed the excess weight and up the aerobic fitness. Judging by the latest pics, it seems to be working for him.
