Welcome to Sneakers News #93. This week, we’re leading with Rihanna’s return to Puma, the first collaboration between the two in years. Elsewhere, Nike has a plethora of shoes to attract attention from the new Nike Air Jordan 6 Retro Low ‘PSG’ to a collaboration with Albino & Preto on the Dunk. adidas also has a collaboration on the horizon with skateboarder Maité. Check it all out plus more below.
Puma x FENTY Avanti VL
The FENTY x Puma collaboration is back after years of silence to present the rebirth of a classic: the Avanti. Rihanna’s creative touch reimagines this iconic silhouette, borrowed from PUMA’s archives. These new sport-fashion icons boast premium leather uppers, gum soles, and come in two styles: timeless black and white, and an attention-grabbing all-over silver chrome. The sneakers are available to buy right now and you can cop a pair at Subtype.
Nike Air Jordan 6 Retro Low ‘PSG’
The Air Jordan 6 Retro Low PSG is another perfect Jordan x Paris-Saint Germain collaboration. It pairs the muted elegance of a suede grey silhouette with vibrant orange accents subtly nodding to the iconic team colours. All the loved features of the Jordan 6 remain including the heel tab and the lace closure but it’s elevated by an exposed tag on the heel. Alongside the AJ6 Low, an exclusive apparel collection and the club’s Third Kit have been unveiled, each piece reflecting the distinctive fashion sense of Paris-Saint Germain athletes. Be at the ready at Nike on 26th September.
Nike SB Dunk Low x Albino & Preto ‘Pearl White’
Here’s something a little different as Nike teams up with Jiu-Jitsu uniform and lifestyle brand Albino & Preto. The Nike SB Dunk Low x Albino & Preto merges the artistic spirit of skateboarding with the dynamism of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. The Pearl White canvas upper is adorned with intricate patterns, reminiscent of the traditional jiu-jitsu gi. It’s all about the thoughtful details, including an assortment of laces in belt-ranking colours that connect you to the BJJ community. The finishing touch is in the black and white accents, paying homage to Albino & Preto and symbolising the journey from novice to master. Nike will drop these on 29th September.
Nike Air Max 1 ‘Pure Platinum
The iconic Air Max 1 is being delivered in a colourway that feels as classic as the silhouette it’s taking to. This sneaker is a stylish nod to the sought-after ‘Urawa’ design from 2004. It features a sleek combination of breezy black mesh against Pure Platinum leather overlays. A clean white midsole perfectly complements the iconic Swoosh. Adding a touch of sophistication, you’ll find shimmering accents and an embroidered logo on the heel. Head to Nike on 2nd October for your chance to own a pair.
adidas Campus 80s Cali DeWitt
The Cali DeWitt colour-submerged sneaker is the result of adidas’ collaboration with the LA designer who has worked with artists including Kanye West. These adidas Campus sneakers are a canvas of creativity, inspired by DeWitt’s industrial aesthetic. The DIY dipped effect on the lower part of the shoe is the feature point while the branded lace tips perfectly match the tonal embroidery on the tongue. Crafted for those who want to take the Campus a little further, these sneakers boast a regular fit, lace closure, leather upper, leather lining, and a durable rubber outsole. They come in three colourways – Grey, Burgundy, and Navy – and will be ready to cop at adidas on 27th September.
adidas Originals Adimatic Mid x Maité
These Adimatic mid shoes are a collaborative effort between adidas and Steenhoudt, reviving a shoe from the archives for a makeover. With a premium suede upper, they rest on a classic rubber outsole, preserving their original style. Adding her unique touch, Steenhoudt incorporates anime-inspired lightning details and an embroidered signature on the tongue. These shoes feature a textile and suede upper, textile lining, and a rubber outsole sporting Victory Blue, Magic Lilac, and Dark Blue. Head to adidas to grab a pair right now.
New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v13

Its Fresh Foam X midsole seamlessly transitions from landing to push-off, providing a combination of comfort and high-performance capability that suits both daily runs and race days. The breathable, second-skin style mesh upper offers support on top of airflow. This shoe also features a solid rubber outsole that enhances forefoot stiffness for efficient toe-offs, ensuring a natural-feeling transition from heel to toe.
