Drake has officially cancelled the remainder of his shows in Australia and New Zealand. However, amongst the disappointment, he’s at least left fans with some lasting memories. We’re still unsure about that dystopian photo of fans holding signs desperate for money at his show in Sydney, but there were some funny moments too.

The way he threw that slide at the drone “spying” on him while inside his $38,000 per night suite at Crown Sydney will go down as the most memorable moment from his trip, even if it was a dodgy ad for gambling website Stake. The way he went full Randy Johnson side arm, Australian boomerang toss will never be forgotten. Even Sydney Water got in on the action, tracking down the slide and asking Drake “this yours??” in an Instagram post.

Now, we’ve managed to track down the same model slide that Drake threw at the drone and off the side of the Crown Sydney. Here’s where you can get a pair of the Nike Calm Slide in Bright Mandarin (#FD4116-800) to remember the good times.

Nike Calm Slide in Bright Mandarin

  • Style: FD4116-800
  • Colourway: Bright Mandarin/Bright Mandarin
  • Retail price: USD$50
  • Release date: 09/23/2023

While many rightly assumed that the slide Drake threw off his Sydney penthouse was an expensive model from a designer label, the truth is that it was a basic Nike Calm Slide in Bright Mandarin that retails for USD$50.

These were a non-limited release when they hit shelves in September 2023, and as they had no collector value, they’re quite hard to find today. Only a few pairs were sold in the months after for AUD$8-50 on secondary sneaker marketplace StockX. In fact, the last sale of a US11 was just AUD$8 back on the 17th of November 2024. If you want to find a pair for yourself today, the asking price of the Nike Calm Slide in Bright Mandarin has increased to between AUD$80-200 because of the Drake saga.

Comfort-wise, they’re made from a single piece of soft foam (like most slides) but they have a contoured design that’s shaped for most feet. Designed to be worn by the pool and at the beach, there’s a subtle texture pattern on the footbed that adds grip when wet, and the outer shell is made from a water-friendly foam that’s easy to clean. Finally, the rubber outsole has good traction, even on slippery surfaces.

While they’re no longer available on shelves in the Bright Mandarin colourway that matches Drake’s, you can find them on secondary marketplace sites such as StockX and GOAT, which we’ve linked below. There are also black, white, and earthy tone colours available on Nike.com at the time of publishing this article.
