From humble beginnings in Sydney’s housing commission to owning a million-dollar mansion in California, The Kid LAROI is truly a rags-to-riches fairytale. The Australian musician’s meteoric rise to fame has been nothing short of spectacular, with his debut mixtape in 2020, F*ck Love, turning him into a bonafide international celebrity. Not only has he since earned a place at the top of the charts, but he’s also raking in some serious cash.
The Stay hitmaker recently splashed some of his hard-earned dough on a stunning USD$5.5 million (AU$8.3 million) home in Encino, Los Angeles. From our vantage point, it’s the perfect playground for a 21-year-old superstar to let loose, relax and have the odd game of backyard cricket.

According to Dirt, The Kid LAROI has been renting in Beverly Hills’ Trousdale Estates but quietly purchased his own slice of heaven last year in the hills of Encino. And get this – the pad comes with a celebrity history. The half-acre lot boasting a whopping 6,000 square feet of living space was previously owned by Perla Hudson, the ex-wife of Guns N’ Roses guitar legend, Slash. She snagged the place in 2017 for a cool USD$3.5 million and gave it the luxury renovation treatment.
It was first built in ’91 and it’s got a fancy French vibe with a mansard roof and a fully walled and gated perimeter to keep pesky paparazzi out. Inside, the layout is open and inviting, with a double-height entryway and a classic curvy staircase that’ll make the most humble feel a little Hollywood. Plus, there’s a second staircase in the living room that’s got a marble fireplace and a wet bar to prepare a cheeky cocktail or two for friends.

The kitchen is all brand spanking new with a ton of counter space to whip up some gourmet meals. And there’s a family room with a stacked-stone fireplace where you can cozy up with your crew. But the real showstopper is the dining room with its Elvis wallpaper heads – you gotta see it to believe it. Upstairs, there’s a master retreat with a sitting area, a private balcony, and a seriously decadent bathroom. There are four more bedrooms upstairs, so there’s plenty of room for his entourage to crash.
While enjoying the incredible views of the surrounding hills from the top floor, let’s not forget about the backyard. There’s a slick swimming pool surrounded by decks and patios to chill and soak up the sun. The walls of glass blur the line between indoor and outdoor living, giving you that quintessential SoCal vibe.
