Watch the Terrifying Moment a Tiger Shark Attacks YouTuber’s Paddleboard

Internet sensation Brodie Moss perfectly captures the essence of the Australian archetype. A fearless outdoor adventurer, he often comes face to face with animals most would find terrifying. And while we would need new underwear, Moss seems to embrace every wild encounter with enthusiasm and respect. However, his latest post online is enough to make the most heroic among us sweat.

Posted on the YBS Youngbloods YouTube and Instagram pages, Moss shared a moment he’ll never forget: becoming stuck between a shark and its turtle-flavoured meal. As seen in the footage, the turtle is fighting to escape the predator’s jaws when suddenly the shark attacks the paddleboard, knocking Moss into the water. We don’t exactly know what happened after the incident, but we can assume he wasn’t injured. We don’t know if we could say the same for the turtle…

His Instagram caption read, “a humbling reminder for myself that it’s their ocean and I’m just a visitor! I love sharks and this little accident was not the big fellas fault.” That’s a pretty calm way of describing one of the most universal fears imaginable. Just in another day Down Under, right?

While the bite on his board would have caught him off guard, Moss knew sharks were roaming the area. A week prior, he posted a video paddling with another big-finned friend. Unlike the latest clip, this content was clearly filmed outside of eating hours, with the shark gliding underneath his paddleboard, unbothered and unfazed by the cameras. The moral of the story is, don’t get in between a hangry shark and its next feed. Check out the video below.
