The collection titled “Falling Water” gets its inspiration and purpose through a fresh storm. The new GORE-TEX range features classic pieces that expand on the label’s waterproof range. From shells and jackets to bucket hats, “Falling Water” comes in core colours like goldenrod, pine green and black. The dynamic pieces are created from lightweight recycled fabric and feature a trademark finish with GORE-TEX waterproof membrane and a DWR coating. The interior layer creates another level of protection, crafted with carbon that provides windproof, waterproof and adaptable characteristics. Lastly, a fully waterproof seam ensures complete defence from the climate.
As it stands, GORE-TEX continues to be a leader in the technical space taking a solutions-based approach. Often calling themselves an “ingredients brand” they make high-performance product technology that can be found in jackets, footwear, gloves and more. Moreover, their performance goals also extend to the planet – making sustainability a key practice of the business and clothes. A win-win situation for the buyer and company, Norse Projects and GORE-TEX are paving the way for other eco-conscious projects. Like what you hear? Let’s delve into some of our favourite pieces.
Inspired by 60’s mountain parkas, the Nunk Shell GORE-TEX is a staple piece for any weather-heavy outing. Along with its effective layers, the jacket is also constructed with multi-functional pockets that can house endless essentials. Though utilitarian in its function, the Nunk Shell GORE-TEX channels a minimal design aesthetic with core Norse influences.
Jens Zip Packable is another favourite for throwing on when you’re running out the door. Dubbed a light jacket, overshirt, (or both?) The essential shell is perfect for layering in varied conditions. Multiple pockets also make the packable zip-through jacket a go-to item. The classic parka is constructed from cotton nylon and finished with snap cuffs.
The Technical Sports Cap is also another vital part of the drop. A six-panel cap developed using GORE-TEX membrane, the product packs in all the technical goodness of the line. The cap is finished with a branded reflective logo printed on the back. The “Falling Water” collection is now available on the Norse Projects website. Feel free to take a peek below.
