For its Spring/Summer 2019 collection, Australian fashion label Venroy is exploring laid back styles and a wealth of colours perfect for evenings and weekends and making the most of the warmer weather.
New styles include camp collar shirts made from crepe de chine silk and long-sleeved t-shirts with tubular detailing. Core items have been developed, taking in colour blocking as a strong focus. Soft burgundy, taupe and light blue are key colours this season.
The wardrobe staples are redeveloped, and classics shapes appear to have subtly evolved. In the brand’s own words, “the Venroy man has grown up. He’s ready to shed layers in search of a refined, bold identity.”
The women’s range has expanded to include luxurious eveningwear, appearing as that perfect gift recommendation in addition to everyday styles. SS19 is all about soft hues. Mint and blush are fresh additions, while white, sand and midnight navy silks carry into the core range.
There is a continuation of Venroy’s signature, treated, super soft linen in core styles. In particular, washed cotton twill pull-on pants and navy shorts are described as the Spring essentials for a casual, leisure-like aesthetic.
For the evening, we see the styles shift in fabric and silhouette. Premium linen rib knits in a fitted dress and button-down top are ideal for layering. Elevated shapes including a new floor-length robe dress and draped wrap skirt, featuring unconventional raw edges, play to proportion and texture.
Founded in 2010 by two friends looking to enhance the leisure-centric Bondi lifestyle, every Venroy garment and style is tailored towards a leisure state of mind. Linen is the fabric of choice and is used to make 90% of all Venroy products.
