Guinness is Giving Away Free Pints This Month: Here’s How to Get Them
There’s nothing quite like a warming pint of Guinness on an ice-cold night – unless of course, it was bought on someone else’s dollar. At selected venues for the entirety of July, the legends behind the iconic Irish brew are handing out free beers across New South Wales and Victoria, but there is a catch. To score a free glass of the black stuff, you must be in the venue when the temperature drops between five and seven degrees Celsius. Get ready, Guinness season has arrived.

The aptly named Guinness Weather initiative kicks off this month and will run until the end of July 2022. Under the terms of the promotion, punters can score one free pint of Guinness Draught as soon as the temperature hits that magic figure. According to the Irish iconic, the optimum temperature to pour a pint of the black stuff is between five and seven degrees, hence the foundations of the giveaway.
To get you even more in the spirit, Guinness has also released an official Guinness Digital Thermometer. The new implementation gauges the temperature on the border of NSW and Victoria, working in conjunction with the brand’s already established Pub Finder tool, which locates the closest participating venue.
