Moët Impérial. The champagne that’s popped on those special occasions is now marking a milestone of its own as the iconic French bubbly celebrates 150 years. To commemorate the anniversary, Moët & Chandon will have its most emblematic champagne available in limited-edition bottles inscribed with a redesigned logo that transforms the “I” of “Impérial” into a new symbol.
Several nights ago, Moët & Chandon hosted a glamorous black-tie dinner at Sydney’s Town Hall to mark the special occasion. We were in attendance for the event hosted by Moët & Chandon President and CEO, Stéphane Baschiera alongside special guest, Moët & Chandon Ambassador, Jesinta Franklin. The 150-guest list included the Hon Julie Bishop and Terry and Anthony Minichiello, to name a few.
Following the black carpet arrival, guests enjoyed the Impérial 1869 cocktail created especially for the occasion. Moving into the Centennial Hall, guests then enjoyed a two-course meal curated by the renowned French chef, Guillaume Brahimi that was superbly paired to Moët Impérial from the new limited-edition anniversary bottles.
To finish off the dinner, hosts Stéphane Baschiera and Jesinta Franklin made the ultimate grand gesture and poured the 20 tier Moët Impérial champagne tower before

1869 after party.
“It was an honour to host Moët Impérial’s 150th Anniversary event last night with CEO, Stéphane Baschiera,” said Jesinta Franklin. “The iconic venue, food, champagne and after party was an incredible celebration.”
For everyone looking to celebrate this milestone, the 150th-anniversary Moët Impérial champagne is expected to reach all good liquor stores shortly.
