With just a few days left of the Australian Open and very few Aussies left in the mix, the Man of Many office is feeling a little down. Our annual sojourn to the couch for a vicious back-and-forth neck-turning session is nearing an end and we’re not quite ready to give it up. For some, attention is already turning to Adelaide, where LIV Golf will kick off in just a few short weeks, but until then, we’ve got you covered. This Friday (like every other), we’re coming at you with a swag of Feel-Good vibes, designed to lift your spirits and usher in a very good (long) weekend.

alc-eze is Looking for a Chief Hangover Officer (CHO) and it’s Offering a $100K Salary
What would you do for $100,000? The legends behind hangover-defender alc-eze want to find out, with the brand offering up a six-figure salary for its newly-created Chief Hangover Officer (CHO) position. That’s right, alc-eze wants you to travel the world, party hard and test out the weirdest and most wonderful supposed hangover cures, all for a stellar sum of cash.
According to Anthony Taylor, co-founder at alc-eze, the Chief Hangover Officer role was created in response to new research that revealed just how pervasive hangovers are in Australia. The study, which was commissioned by the brand, found that while some lucky Aussies don’t experience hangovers, the average Australian suffers a staggering 39 hangovers per year. What’s more, over one-third of Australians (36%) also admit to going to extreme lengths to cure their hangovers, trying everything from bizarre food remedies to unconventional hacks.
“We believe, without a doubt, that we have the best hangover prevention supplement on the planet. But to ensure we stay on top, we are always looking at ways to improve the product or even identify new products altogether,” Taylor said. “Our new Chief Hangover Officer will help us search for global trends that we can explore further with our scientific team to ensure our product keeps as many hangovers away as possible. So whilst Bull penis for breakfast might not be ‘the’ answer, we’re leaving no stone unturned.”
According to the official job description, the role will involve travelling to multiple international locations, including Sicily, Puerto Rico and Estonia, to test and report back on local hangover hacks and urban legends. But it won’t be a holiday. In Sicily, for example, eating dried Bull penis is said to be the ultimate hangover cure, while in Estonia, locals swear by wearing vodka-soaked socks to bed.
The initial two-month package for the chosen candidate will include a $100K pro-rata salary, fully paid international travel, access to the best parties, and a year’s supply of alc-eze. Best of all, if the new CHO uncovers a new secret ingredient that is added to the alc-eze hangover product, they’ll receive a healthy $20K bonus. The applicant has to have experience in drinking alcoholic beverages and must be over 18. To apply for the new position at Bonkers, visit the alc-eze website and submit your application by 28th February 2025.
