We solemnly swear you’ll be cooking up good food thanks to the latest announcement from luxury cookware brand Le Creuset. The premium French brand has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products for a truly magical Harry Potter-themed kitchenware collection that knows its Butterbeer from its Canary Creams. The limited-edition collection covers all bases, with a blend of cast iron, stoneware, tools and textiles all littered with designs inspired by the boy who lived.
Naturally, the new collection is stunningly crafted and expertly displayed. For almost 100 years, Le Creuset has adorned the kitchen counters of the world’s top chefs, cooks and culinary critics, but this time around, there’s something innately whimsical at play. From images of the iconic characters, like Harry’s owl Hedwig to the subtle nods to Hogwarts folklore such as platform 9 and 3/4, each piece in the Harry Potter Le Creuset Collection speaks to a foreboding nostalgia.
“The experience of cooking and sharing a memorable meal with loved ones is pure magic,” says Paul van Zuydam, Owner, Le Creuset. “We are thrilled to team up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to bring that magic to life through an extraordinary collection that combines the adventurous culinary world with the fantastic imaginative Wizarding World. Chefs and Harry Potter fans alike will now be able to express their inner creativity as they transform humble ingredients into spectacular dishes.”
While the collection encompasses a vast number of items, there are some key picks. The Harry Potter Signature Round Casserole, for instance, is a large dish finished in vibrant cherry red Cerise with a solid brass lightening-bolt reminscent of Harry’s scar. The Quidditch version is finished in Le Creuset’s Marseille blue with a solid brass Golden Snitch knob affixed to the lid, which is embossed with three goal posts, referencing the iconic wizarding game. There is also the Deathly Hallows Spoon Rest, a Hedwig Pie Bird and the Hogwarts Express Kettle which sports a gold-coloured knob that bears the classic 9 and 3/4 symbol.
The Harry Potter Le Creuset Collection will be available to purchase throughout November at the kitchenware brand’s official boutiques and online. The new pieces start from AUD$40 for some of the mugs and range all the way up to AUD$650 for the Harry potter Signature Round Casserole Dish.
