The 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed is the most powerful Bentley ever and breaches the 700-horsepower mark with a combined 782 PS from its twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine. While Bentley is steadily marching towards its goal of electrifying its entire range, the new Continental GT still has a 4.0-litre V8 stuffed within its stately bonnet but the addition of an electric motor has added more power along with strengthening its Grand Tourer credentials.
You would be able to potter around cities noiselessly with an 81 km electric range (up to speeds of 140 km/h) and the total range has also swelled up to 859 km now. All these figures are a far cry from the thirsty W12 engines of yore. However, model loyalists fret not, as this new Bentley still maintains its aristocratic charm with supercar baiting performance as with a combined 782 PS and a locomotive like 1,000 Nm, the 0-100 km/h time is dealt in just 3.1 seconds. Of course, all that power is channelled via an eight-speed gearbox.

The brand has also worked on improving driving manners, with more agility being injected courtesy of a new two-chamber air spring suspension paired with new dual-valve dampers, Bentley Dynamic Ride (48V active anti-roll control) plus eLSD and torque vectoring. Hence, with a 49:51, rear-biased weight distribution, we’d expect this new Continental GT to be lithe and have a pliant ride simultaneously.
The silhouette has remained largely unchanged, which is still unmistakably Continental GT. Small tweaks have been made elsewhere, including the new headlamps, which have a new ‘eyebrow’ effect with crystals and an illuminated effect.
The rear styling gets a mildly updated bumper design, plus new taillights, boot lid, and exhaust tailpipes. Finally, there are new 22-inch wheels, which take inspiration from the tiger, no less, as the design is akin to the wheel’s ‘claws’ digging into the road.
The interior still has the classic Bentley old-world charm infused with high-quality materials and craftsmanship. Additions include a new quilting pattern and 20-way adjustable seats with an optional ‘Wellness’ seating with Postural Adjust. Bentley’s Mulliner division also offers a new dark chrome specification, which adds a sporty touch to the cabin. If you are an audiophile, the Naim 2,200 W, 18-speaker system with Active Bass Transducers built into the front seats is also worth optioning.
While pricing and other details will be revealed closer to its expected market launch later this year, expect the new Continental GT Speed to spawn other versions as well as it will lock horns with the likes of the Aston Martin DB12 and the Ferrari 12Cilindri.
