The Genesis G70 is entering its second year on the market in 2020, with the wise decision to leave few things changed. What has been changed, however, just makes the car even more pleasurable to drive.

For the mid-range Sport model, the Genesis G70 now comes with a more aggressive brake setup. You can also get 19-inch all-season tires as an option, while the 3.3T Prestige package includes a power-operated trunk lid. You can also opt for brown leather on the interior. So what hasn’t changed?
For starters, you can still get the twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 engine, thought the base model is nothing to stub you nose at. The G70 2.0T features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder capable of 252 horsepower. The engine mates with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. You can opt for an all-wheel drive version, or go with the manual version. If you decide that you want that extra oomph from the 3.3-liter engine, you’ll be getting 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque.
If you’re looking for more extras, try the Elite package, which comes with rain-sensing windshield wipers, parking senor, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and a wireless smartphone-charging pad. Even without that package, you’re still getting a driver-centric interior design. Surfaces are decoratively stitched, and Genesis stayed away from faux carbon fiber to keep this classically classy. The G70 supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car will also assist you as your drive with its adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go technology as well as its forward-collision warning with automated emergency braking. It also offers blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beams. Not the least of the G70’s characteristics, the car offers between 17 to 22 miles per gallon in the city and 25 to 30 on the highway, depending on the model you choose.
With only two years under its belt, the Genesis G70 is making the competition sweat, especially since they did such a good job getting it right the first time.
