Avatar: The Last Airbender
When it comes to the Avatar: The Last Airbender adaptation, Netflix is still keeping its cards close to its chest. However, the streamer did give a mini first look at the upcoming live-action series, showcasing character images of its live-action series as well as title reveal footage of the four nations, namely the Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation and Air Nomads. Netflix is “using the same words that waterbender Katara spoke in the introduction for the original Nickelodeon animated series, which goes, “Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, can stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed, and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar: an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he’s ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world.” While there’s still no release date, Netflix did announce that Avatar: The Last Airbender will hit the service in 2024.
