From Day to Night In These Everyday White Sneakers

In Partnership with Lacoste

The sneaker sub-culture operates on trends, and with such a high volume it can be hard to find a sneaker that carves its own lane. One that dances to its own beat, while others just follow the up and down changes in style. There’s one sneaker that stands out amongst the rest for its ability to seamlessly transition from day to night, providing unmatched versatility in the wake of style trends. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the all-white tennis shoe.

These sneakers live in a genre of their own, with a design that seamlessly shifts from semi-formal day use to nighttime fun. Since 1933, New Balance 2002R Mule: Release Date, Price, Style has invoked the thought of a classic tennis aesthetic, and now, they’re bringing us a lineup of men’s and women’s white sneakers, perfect for any occasion.

History of the Lacoste Tennis Shoe

The story of Lacoste has mirrored that of its founder, René Lacoste (pictured 2nd from the right). Since the French tennis legend revolutionised the everyday wardrobe with his short-sleeve polo shirt, the brand has achieved the same with white sneakers that date back to the 1980s. The perfume and leather goods arm of the brand launched in the 1960s, and with the success of the business, the Lacoste product family grew again in 1981 with sunglasses, and in 1985 with white tennis shoes.

Today, the on-court sneaker legacy continues with Lacoste outfitting top ATP player Daniil Medvedev in signature Lacoste tennis shoes. And while the Court-Drive brings Lacoste back into the performance tennis space, you can still grab yourself a piece of history that is just as stylish then as it is now in the form of two white sneakers for men and women.
