What is Amazon Prime Big Deals Day?
Not to be confused with Prime Day, Amazon Prime Big Deals Day is a new sales event that ushers in the holiday gifting period. To be clear, Amazon Prime Day is an exclusive sale only available to their paying members. If you want to get access to the deals you’ll have to sign up as an Amazon Prime member before or during the event.
A membership will cost you AUD$9.99 a month or AUD$79 a year, which isn’t that bad. But, if you haven’t signed up before theirs a handy 30-day free trial available that’ll let you get access to the deals plus a plethora of other perks like Prime Video, Prime Reading and Prime Gaming all without paying a cent.
The new Big Deals Day event reported comes in response to surging cost of living expenses. According to research from Amazon, a whopping 76 per cent of surveyed Aussies are worried about potential costs over the holiday season, with over half (56 per cent) worried about the potential cost of gifts. In terms of seasonal shopping, 71 per cent of respondents say they intend on starting their holiday shopping before December and just one in five (21 per cent) say they will wait until December.

When is Amazon Prime Big Deals Day 2023?
The massive shopping event will kick off at 12AM AEST on 10 October, with local deals running for 48 hours until 11:59PM AEST on 11 October. Better still, deals from the UK and US will be available on Amazon.com.au through Amazon Global Store until 5pm AEST on 12 October. That means you score access to a massive 65 hours of deals if you are an Australian Prime member.
