In collaboration with the Sydney Opera House, Australia’s own Archie Rose Distilling Co. has created a two-act gin release. Dropping on 1 October 2019, Outside Gin and Inside Gin celebrate the architectural majesty of Sydney’s most iconic landmark, as well as the cultural diversity one can experience therein. Each gin will be released in limited supply and simultaneously available at the Sydney Opera House bars and restaurants, as well as nearby venues.
Act one is Outside Gin, which takes inspiration from the Sydney Opera House’s coastal setting and distinguished design principles. Drawing upon the harmony between man-made architecture and natural beauty, the juniper-forward gin performs a deft balancing act of botanicals, including citrus-scented gum, South Australian yuzu, finger limes, white grapefruit, local seablite, and native seaweed.
For act two, Archie Rose enters the prestigious landmark by way of Inside Gin. Honouring global culture and creative art, the fruit-driven spirit bursts with bright character and imparts with a sense of dynamism. Splashing across the palate is are botanicals like native thyme, Australian apricot, and strawberry gum.
Whether sipped neat or served in a curated cocktail, both gins deliver copious amounts of refreshing distinction. To make a great thing even greater, their release will be complemented by exclusive food and beverage experiences, including:
- Curated gin cocktails at the Sydney Opera House’s bars – venues include Opera Kitchen, Portside Sydney and all theatre bars, changing seasonally from 1 October.
- Launch event – Sunday 20 October, 2019.
- An Archie Rose and Sydney Opera House tour and cocktail blending experience.
