The World’s First Patrón Bar Opened Its Doors in Sydney This Week

Bar Patrón has arrived… And yes, it is exactly what you think. True to its name, Patrón is the sole tequila (and spirit for that matter) on the drinks menu with the back bar generously stocked with their core range of Silver, Reposado and Añejo whilst featuring a touch of luxury, aka Roca Patrón and Gran Patrón.

A decadent tequila cocktail list has been curated including a $100 cocktail dubbed the “Millionaire’s Margarita” that’s shaken up tableside on a bespoke Patrón trolley and made from a super premium and rare tequila; Patrón Gran Burdeos Extra Añejo. You can also order your favourite classic cocktails like a Negroni or Old Fashioned with Patrón as the substitute, and although at first, this seems hard to imagine, premium tequila used as an alternative to the usual spirit is in fact, delicious. When you are in the mood for something other than tequila-based drinks, they have a well-rounded wine list featuring wines and sparkling from various classic wine regions across the world.

This very welcome collaboration between The Rockpool Dining Group and Patrón brought about this “world’s first” initiative and of course, as with any Rockpool venue, comes culinary genius and executive chef of the group, Neil Perry. Neil Perry is an icon in the Australian Food scene well known for turning simple ingredients into masterpieces and he did just that with the selection of fresh Mexican food served at Bar Patrón.

If you need even more reasons to visit, Bar Patrón is set in the popular Circular Quay area with spectacular harbour views and has a 5 am trading licence. That’s right. Early morning tacos and tequila anyone?
