Free Daks For All Via Budgy Undie-Swap

Budgy Smuggler, Australia’s beloved swimwear and now-under-garment-team will celebrate the launch of its new undies range via a undie- swap shop’ at their Bondi and Manly Stores this weekend; together with a donation of $1 to the Black Dog Institute for each pair purchased. 80% Cooked Fest is Back at Willie the Boatman

Beers, bands and burgers – What a trio. This Saturday 22 November, the iconic 80% Cooked Fest is back on again, dishing up sweet tunes and suds for everyone attending. Kicking off from 11am to 5pm, the dog-family-everyone-friendly festival will take place at St Peters brewery Willie The Boatman and will feature live music, market stalls, delicious food, and plenty of Willie’s signature craft beers. The festival boasts an all-star line-up, with live performances from Aussie artists Caitlin Harnett & The Pony BoysCruisin’ Deuces, and headliner Andy Golledge, who is treating fans to an exclusive Sydney show.

On the food side of things, you’ll score grub from Hi Chef, Hot Dogs of the World, Stripped Gaza Street Food, Vejoes, the award-winning 2 Smokin’ Arabs BBQ as well as an Ice Cream Truck for the kiddos. There will also be local market stalls with dog accessories, handmade treats, and artisanal handmade jewellery. The little ones (under 12 are free) and will have the time of their lives on the jumping castle, play area and getting their face-painted. Get absolutely amongst it.

Starlight Children Help Bring Australia the Top 100 Toys

In partnership with Starlight Children’s Foundation, Amazon Australia has released its annual Top 100 Holiday Toy List. Amazon has also announced a stop-motion film featuring some of the toys, Hi-5 star Charli Robinson, Aussie entertainment legend Johnny Ruffo and the Playmakers: Amazon’s official toy testers and now, movie creators. For every toy purchased from the movie during this year’s Black Friday, Amazon Australia will donate an additional $1 to Starlight up to $45,000, to help bring happiness to seriously ill children. First Nations-led Artistic Exploration Comes to Bankstown

Bankstown Arts Centre proudly presents SubTerrains Bankstown Biennale 2022, a First Nations-led artistic exploration of the rich stories embedded in the Bankstown landscape. SubTerrains, co-curated by Nicole Monks and Vandana Ram, is a multidisciplinary response to local narratives of land, water, and historical truths buried within Bankstown’s sites of significance, specifically Salt Pan Creek. Running from 8 October until 26 November, SubTerrains proudly features 12 contemporary creatives, most of whom are local western Sydney First Nations artists, and the work of over two dozen additional artists through the artistic collectives Juxta, and Kantanka Creative.

Crown Sydney Celebrates International Chef Day with Ultimate Dining Experience

Crown’s culinary stars will be joining forces for a special one-night dining experience in celebration of International Chef’s Day. On Wednesday 26 October, world-class powerhouses Sarah Briegel (Crown Sydney Culinary Director), Guillaume Brahimi (Crown Sydney Culinary Ambassador), along with celebrated Chefs Ross Lusted (Woodcut), Alessandro Pavoni (a’Mare), Harold Hurtada (Nobu) and a number of up-and-coming junior chefs will take CenterStage at Epicurean, for a one-night-only ticketed buffet dining moment. The five iconic Chefs from their renowned restaurants will be under one roof for an unforgettable dining experience.
