Rethink your camping, reimagine your surroundings and be prepared for every terrain known to man with the Sunda 2.0, the first 2-person ground-to-air-tent that is not only incredibly versatile but simple and easy to use. Available now on Kickstarter for US$345, the Sunda 2.0 will not only blow you away but may leave you wondering, is it a tent or a hammock?
It’s both! It’s a shelter that adapts to your needs, whether you’re out on the grassy plains or up high on a rocky mountainside, this ingenious tent is a reliable barrier between you and the environment no matter where you are. Utilising advanced weatherproof construction, and updated its ground-to-air convertible design, the Sunda 2.0 is the follow up to their first project back in 2016. With over 1200 backers bringing the original to life, Kammok is back with version 2.
The Sunda 2.0 features the same tried-and-true features of the original with some noticeable upgrades. Its new lighting-fast setup allows for transitioning between hammock and ground tent in less than 60 seconds. A further simplified pole architecture increases wind stability while boosting tent transitioning. And on the bottom is an upgraded bathtub floor for extra strength and protection from the elements.
Despite being only a two-person tent, the Sunda 2.0 is still very spacious with 34.75 sq ft of vast interior living space – plenty of room for gear, kids, or the dog. With a height of 8 ft 4 in, you’ve got plenty of headroom for even the tallest of campers. Airflow has also been upgraded using lightweight and durable Nannoet mesh to increase breathability, while still keeping the mosquitos at bay.
If you’re after a brand new tent for the next adventure, or just looking for something to do as soon as the pandemic restrictions are lifted, then head on over to Kickstarter and back the Sunda 2.0 now. With only 52 hours to go, you better be quick!
