Now, famous rally driver, Ken Block is one crazy dude. Anyone will tell you that. He is a straight out hoon. But instead of instant negative connotations that are associated with that word, Mr Block views it as a positive, almost magical aspect, like a unicorn. Which is why drives around his 1965 Ford Mustang RTR and calls it the Hoonicorn. And this beast of his is loaded with an 845 horsepower V8 engine.
But as I said earlier, Mr Block is one crazy individual. Along with his team at Hoonigan, they both decided that type of horsepower wasn’t enough. It needed more power for what he needed it to do. In come the modifying of the all-wheel drive vehicle with customised twin turbos that force-feed 21 pounds of boost into the 410 cubic methanol-powered motor. Don’t worry if you got lost in all that jargon, all you need to know is that it translates to 60 per cent more horsepower, 1400, to be precise.
