It’s unofficially Samsung week with the tech giant unveiling loads of new technology, with the AKG N700 Wireless Headphones being the sole audio-focused offering.
Optimised for travel, the Samsung branded AKG N700 wireless headphones offer adaptive noise cancelling, 23 hours battery life and a design that folds down for portable storage. The headphones are available now online for AUD $499.
The Grammy awarded AKG sound engineering is in full force delivering what is said to be warm bass response and unmatched sound clarity. Samsung booked AKG to handle audio for most of its new tech including the flagship Galaxy Book S.
Thanks to the 90 degrees rotating hinge and the memory foam ear cushions, the Samsung wireless headphones should stay comfortable for that full 23 hours of battery life, which extends to 32 hours with a wired connection, even with noise cancelling turned on. A push of a button on the earcup activates the Ambient Aware feature for environmental awareness. Wireless and equaliser settings can be customised with the AKG smartphone app.
Dual microphones are employed for clear and noise-free calls. Calls are handled via the earcup and remote if using a wired connection.
For travelling, AKG N700 folds flat and can be stowed away in the carry case. The case also includes handy accessories like an airline adaptor, wired connection and USB charging cable. In an ideal world, all headphones would come with an airline adaptor.
The N700 Samsung wireless headphones are available now online via Samsung, Amazon and the usual tech retailers. They’re priced at $499.
The other big Samsung announcements from the past week include the Note 10 and Note 10+ reveal. The new Galaxy Watch Active2 and an Under Armour edition launch later this year. Plus the new Galaxy Tab S6 arrives later this month.
