What’s even better than an already high-spec, flagship gaming laptop? Apparently, it’s a limited-edition collaborative edition. During the recent Razercon event, Razer made headlines by announcing an exhilarating partnership with Lamborghini, resulting in the stunning new Razer Blade 16 X Automobili Lamborghini Edition. Drawing direct inspiration from the world of sports cars, the Razer Blade 16 X Automobili Lamborghini Edition channels a distinctive Lamborghini-inspired aesthetic.
The gaming laptop comes with a customised chassis adorned in a striking orange accent that’s “infused with the spirit of Lamborghini.” In a departure from the traditional Razer design, the Lamborghini Edition proudly displays its emblem on the lid, sporting a matte black and orange finish inspired by the car’s headlights. This laptop is a testament to precision engineering, carved from a single block of aluminium using CNC milling and still retains Razer’s hallmark matte black finish, extending consistently from the lid to the per-key RGB backlit keyboard.
The lid’s design is inspired by the distinctive three-pronged headlights of Lamborghini’s Revuelto hybrid supercar and the Lamborghini influence extends beyond the surface, including the boot sequence that displays the Lamborghini logo in striking orange. Flip the laptop over, and you’ll find a serialised engraving, signifying its limited production run of just 150 units. Even the internal components, like Razer’s vapor chamber and fans, feature Lamborghini’s unmistakable orange accents.
Much like a Lamborghini on the road, the Razer Blade 16 X Automobili Lamborghini Edition doesn’t hold back in the performance department, packing a hefty dose of processing power for a top-notch gaming experience. In terms of specifications, this laptop is powered by an Intel Core i9 13950HX processor and an Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics card, guaranteeing high-performance computing. Storage and memory won’t disappoint either, as it boasts a generous 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a whopping 4TB NVMe SSD.
However, what makes it truly stand out is its groundbreaking dual-mode Mini LED display, which is not only the world’s first but also the only one currently available. The display offers support for both UHD+ 120Hz and FHD+ 240Hz resolutions, boasting an impressive 1,000 nits of peak brightness and complete coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. Razer even went the extra mile by custom-calibrating both the 4K 120Hz and FHD+ 240Hz modes right out of the box, ensuring a top-notch visual experience. Additionally, the display supports G-Sync technology for even smoother gaming.
On top of these design elements, the laptop offers an abundant array of I/O options, comprising 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with 100W charging, one Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) port also with 100W charging, HDMI 2.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, an SD card reader, and a Kensington Security Lock slot. Additionally, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, comes equipped with a 1080p webcam featuring Windows Hello support, and packs a substantial 95.2-watt-hour battery.
During the laptop’s reveal, Travis Furst, Head of Laptop Division at Razer, said, “Uniting the iconic design language of Automobili Lamborghini with Razer’s gaming pedigree, this new edition of the award-winning Blade 16 pushes boundaries in aesthetics and performance. This collaboration reflects Razer’s dedication to offering top-tier experiences to gamers.”
