The PlayStation Plus lineup for June has been revealed, and it’s a good one. PS Plus members can journey to a galaxy far, far away in Star Wars Battlefront II or head into the trenches and survive the frontline in Call of Duty: WWII. The questions then becomes: do you prefer your action to be down-to-earth, or in space, and with lightsabres? Or why not a lot of both?
Star Wars Battlefront II initially launched back in 2017 and drew praise for its larger-than-life online multiplayer battles. Since launch, the game has received over 25 free updates including new maps and playable Star Wars icons. There’s also a reasonably good single-player story campaign for those who prefer going solo, and I’m not talking about a particular legendary smuggler.
Star Wars Battlefront II will be available as a PlayStation Plus game from Tuesday, June 2.
It’s a return to the past in more ways than one as Call of Duty’s 2017 entry once again reimagined the theatre of war that first inspired the blockbuster franchise. In Call of Duty: WWII’s riveting campaign, players take on a vital, frontline role across Europe in multiple missions directly inspired by key moments from the real world conflict.
Then, switch over to multiplayer to battle it out alongside—and against— other players. There’s also a substantial and challenging zombie mode rounding out this comprehensive package. Don’t wait until June 2 for this one. Call of Duty: WWII is already available for download.
Both games will be available as PlayStation Plus titles until Monday, July 6. They replace May’s lineup which featured Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 2019.
If you need a PS Plus top-up, Sony is currently running the annual PlayStation Days of Play Sale, where you can get a year of PS Plus for 30% off, so $55.95 down from the usual $79.95. That’s what we call a bargain!
