Top Video Games and Release Dates for November 2020

The top video games releasing in November may be slightly overshadowed by the fact that we also have brand new consoles to play them on! The hotly-anticipated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S debut early this month–for a select few who were lucky enough to secure a pre-order. For everyone else, let us ‘console’ you with the fact that almost everything on this month’s top video games list is also available to play on the current generation hardware.

Even with Cyberpunk 2077 being delayed to December 10, there are stacks of other games ideal for distracting you from the gloaters who scored a sleek new console.

1. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Having recently moved to New York, a fresh-faced Miles Morales is adjusting to both a new city and following in the footsteps of his wall-crawling mentor Peter Parker. But when a war for power breaks out on the snowy streets of his neighbourhood, the aspiring hero realises that with great power, there must also come great responsibility. To save all of New York, Miles must take up the mantle of Spider-Man and own it.

Miles is also equipped with a unique set of skills, abilities and gadgets to set him apart from Peter Parker and to offer a different experience to the one featured in the widely popular 2018 Marvel’s Spider-Man game. Just how different will it be? We’ll find out real soon.

2. Dirt 5

Dirt 5 is set to write a bold new chapter in the popular off-road racing series. Players will travel the globe to race over 70 unique routes complete with dynamic weather and time of day shifts. From racing on the frozen East River in New York to shifting under the Northern Lights in Norway, there are dozens of unique driving experiences to discover.

Conquering the toughest terrain means going hands-on with boulder-beating machines, iconic rally cars, 900bhp sprint cars, Rallycross, trophy trucks, buggies and more. A story-driven career mode, off-line split-screen and online multiplayer all contribute to a comprehensive racing experience.

3. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

Sail from the harsh and mysterious shores of Norway to the beautiful but forbidding kingdoms of England and beyond. Immerse yourself in the Viking way of life through fishing, hunting, drinking games, and more. The 22nd release in the Assassin’s Creed series could soon become the best one to date.

4. Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Meet Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking member of the yakuza facing prison time for a crime he didn’t commit. Never losing faith, he returns to the streets of Tokyo 18 years later to find his clan destroyed and the city a very different place.

The quirky, over-the-top Yakuza series returns for another outlandish adventure adding turn-based combat to the mix. Players will form a party of misfits, crack skulls in absurd combat, play classic SEGA arcade games and more in this very fun, very Japanese video game. It’s not for everyone but definitely deserves a place on our top video games list.

5. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

As a direct sequel to 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, Cold War drop fans into the depths of the volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. Nothing is ever as it seems in a gripping single-player campaign, where players come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters and more.

Beyond the Campaign, players will bring a Cold War arsenal of weapons and equipment into the next generation of Multiplayer and Zombies experiences.

6. Demon Souls

There are strange characters to meet, combat skills to master and unspeakable demons to vanquish within a world where death is not the end; it’s just another state of being.

7. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
