New Balance x Bricks & Wood Starts the Year Strong with Neutral Toned 9060
Moving from strength to strength, New Balance has started the year with its second Bricks & Wood collaboration by way of a neutral-toned silhouette that’s big on mesh holes, cream hues, and fluffy laces.
Set to arrive in Australia on January 30th at 10:00 am (Australia/Melbourne) the shoe builds on the brand’s newest model, the 9060, which is focused on continuing the legacy of the New Balance 990 while incorporating modern interpretations. It’s been a collaboration favourite as of late, with Bodega, Mowalola, and Joe Freshgoods all providing their take on the design, not to mention a host of top-tier general release colourways.

Acting as a tribute to their South Central Los Angeles neighbourhood, Bricks & Wood has dressed the New Balance 9060 with visual cues from the actual design of Bricks & Wood owner and founder Kacey Lynch’s grandmother’s house.
Cool grey spacer mesh breaks up the upper as it’s overlaid with premium hairy suede in off-white. The distinctive, segmented pod midsole construction features hits of vibrant grass green and draws the eye away from the upper’s neutral tones. Fuzzy laces and co-branded details finish the shoe as it gears itself up for – what we expect to be – an onslaught of colours moving into the new year.
If this is just the start, we’re expecting another big year from New Balance. Check out the link below for more information about the New Balance 9060 x Bricks & Wood as they release on January 30th at 10:00 am (Australia/Melbourne).
