If you’re out hunting rebel scum, then it pays to be punctual. Fortunately, Oris is providing the Dark Side with a set of Star Wars themed watches that will have you singing up to be a part of the Empire.
The Oris watches come in two styles—a Stormtrooper white and a Darth Vader black. The watches were originally only released for Asian markets, but, much like the Empire spread across the known galaxy, these watches have found their way into other markets.
The Darth Vader watch is a blacked-out titanium Provider GMT. The 49mm watch sports an Imperial symbol on the dial as well as a bezel pip shaped like Veder’s TIE Advanced X1 fighter at 12 o’clock. The 3 o’clock position sports a date window. The caseback sports an engraving of Vader’s helmet in profile.
The Stormtrooper version is a Aquis diver that measures 43.5mm. The case is made of steel as is the bracelet. The bezel is done in white ceramic, as are the hour markers. The dial is done in black, and, just like the Darth Vader watch, it sports an Imperial symbol at 9 o’clock. At 12 o’clock, the pip is designed to look like a TIE fighter. The case back features an etching of the iconic Stormtrooper helmet.
The Darth Vader watch is limited to just 250 pieces and is sold in a set with the Stormtrooper watch. The set costs $6,500. You can pick up the Stormtrooper watch separately—there will be 1,300 of these watches made—for the price of $2,700. Both watches feature their number in the series engraved on the back of the case. If you’re getting ready to report to your post on the Death Star, then these watches can help you get there on time.
