Happy Friday the 13th champions—is anyone feeling spooky? With less than two weeks left until Christmas, the Man of Many team is frantically trying to close off our projects, wrap up our initiatives and put a nice little ribbon on the year that was. It’s chaotic, to say the least, but we are persevering and doing it all with a smile on our faces. With that in mind, we’re keeping the good times rolling with another instalment of Feel-Good Friday. Let’s crack in.

Luxury watch brand Rolex has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to the arts by signing a new partnership with the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV). As part of the agreement, Rolex will now serve as the institution’s inaugural Timepiece Partner, with iconic Rolex timepieces to be displayed at NGV International’s Federation Court and NGV Australia’s ground-floor foyer, offering a glimpse into the maison’s rich design legacy and craftsmanship.

According to Rolex Australia managing director Benoit Falletti, the new deal demonstrates the brand’s dedication to supporting world-leading cultural institutions and exceptional artists through its Perpetual Arts Initiative. The latest NGV partnership will only strengthen and build upon the cultural legacy.

“Rolex has an ambitious and authentic approach to its support of the arts, creating deep and lasting connections within the global arts community,” Falletti said. “The NGV stands as one of Australia’s truly significant cultural organisations. We are pleased to celebrate this important milestone, which represents the first major partnership in the arts for Rolex in Australia.”

The Rolex display will be available to view exclusively in Federation Court at NGV International and the ground floor foyer at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. To find out more about the Rolex Perpetual Arts Initiative, visit the link below.

Hilton Sydney Appeal Raises $120,000 for Vinnies

After a week of solid fundraising activity, Hilton Sydney has presented St Vincent de Paul Society with the keys to a brand new Vinnies Van. Designed to support the organisation’s Vinnies Vans program, which feeds hundreds of thousands of vulnerable members of our community each year, the new vehicle is a symbol of Hilton Sydney’s commitment to local communities.

Over the last week, the iconic property’s driveway was transformed into a unique event space, attracting a crowd of national and local attendees to celebrate the launch of the Classic Lifestyle – The Hope Edition book and raise vital funds for Vinnies. From an experiential cocktail party with multiple food stations to a vibrant brunch-time auction and even a classic long lunch, the multi-event fundraising drive raised a reported $120,000 for Vinnies.

“Homelessness is a cause that is close to our hearts at Hilton Sydney, and the work of the Vinnies is essential, especially in the current climate,”, Malcolm Zancanaro, general manager of Hilton Sydney said. “As part of Hilton’s vision to spread the light and warmth of hospitality, we wanted to do something tangible to support Vinnies at this time of year and ensure our involvement makes a real difference for the New South Wales community.”

“Drawing on Hilton Sydney’s experience as a market leader in delivering impactful events and our 49-year history of hospitality and engagement with the community, we enlisted the skills of our dedicated team to create a series of dynamic events to raise awareness, drive attendance and raise much-needed funds for Vinnies.”

The new Vinnies Van was also donated through the support of key partners, including Hilton Australasia, Tadros Travel, Moet & Chandon, Bells at Killcare, Lion, Frigcorp, Sheldon and Hammond, Natalie Anne, and Qatar Airways. Through donations, partners gave away domestic and international trips, original artworks, and signature dining experiences, along with collecting generous cash donations from guests.

Vinnies Vans manager Josie Charbel said: “Partnering with Hilton Sydney and their stakeholders has not only raised awareness of people experiencing homelessness within NSW but has raised crucial funds to expand our reach and impact with a new Van Services by 2025 in the Wagga Wagga region.”

“Our Vans have seen a drastic increase in the number of people accessing the service over the past 12 months,” she continued. “We’re also seeing a greater number of families, single mothers and those on low incomes depending on our Vans Services to ensure their basic needs are met. These events at Hilton Sydney gave us the opportunity to bring people together to give those experiencing homelessness hope and live a life of dignity.”
