Beau Ryan Launches Mushroom Meat Tray
RSL’s are an integral part of Australian culture with new research revealing over 70% of Aussies head to their local for the meat tray. To celebrate this quintessential Aussie tradition, Australian Mushrooms has created the first-ever Mushie Meat Tray, a flexitarian fusion of all things meat and mushrooms.
The Mushie Meat Tray was launched by renowned larrikin and avid RSL-goer, Beau Ryan at the Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club, in Sydney.
“The RSL meat tray is such a classic part of Aussie culture and it’s such fun to be part of its makeover. I love a meat tray as much as the next person so I’m excited to be a part of the launch of the Mushie Meat Tray and give RSL-goers a bit more variety.”
RSL’s nationwide are able to take up the call via a toolkit on how to create their own. To celebrate the launch, Australian Mushrooms is also raffling off Mushie Meat Trays to local community groups. All you have to do is tag one local community group who you think deserves to win, under the launch post of the Mushie Meat Tray. Head to the Australian Mushrooms Instagram page to get tagging.
Good Citizens Remedying Eyesight with Repairable Reading Glasses made from Rubbish
Good Citizens, the Australian pioneers in recycled eyewear, have recently launched a new range of reading glasses that are not only eco-friendly but also repairable. These lightweight frames are made entirely from recycled bottles and can be easily fixed at home using their proprietary plastic clip hinge system. The brand’s founder, Nik Robinson, explained that their goal is to minimize waste by preventing their glasses from ending up in landfills and instead utilizing discarded bottles to create them.
The range offers three styles in various colours, all fitted with premium lenses made by Carl Zeiss Vision. The glasses are priced at $135 and come with packaging made entirely from recycled materials. Good Citizens has already won several international awards for their environmentally-friendly eyewear, including two Good Design Awards.
