Who would have thought that Mercedes-Benz would come out with an off-road vehicle designed specifically for hunters? Their cars have long been known as luxury automobiles—cars meant more for the gatherers of a tribe, not the hunters. Well, now even hunters can enjoy the luxury and performance of the brand.
The Gruma Hunter is put together by Gruma Automobile, an aftermarket autoshop based in Germany. Taking the new X-Class, Gruma then added in Bollards alloy rims as well as a front bar, side bar, and roll bar. A front winch can be used to get you—or, more likely someone else’s rig—out of tough situations, while the rear winch connects to a game box for easier loading.
A dog crate for your best friend and hunting buddy is also included. Lazer Lams utility-80 were added to light up the world, and an Aqua2go Pro mobile cleaner is available to clean things up after the hunt. There’s plenty of storage, the undercarriage has added protection, and the tailgate features a mounted rifle compartment and holder.
You can even use the elevated platform on the roof for an outlook post. The Hunter comes in either camouflage or matte green color wrap, which just demonstrates how much Gruma has thought this through. The wrap is less-reflective, so you’ll run less of a chance of spooking any game.
