LEGO Technic BMW M 1000 RR Model Information
If you’ve been following the LEGO Technic family of products of late, you’re already familiar with the incredible scale models made of the iconic building bricks. Those models include vehicles like the Bugatti Chiron, the McLaren Senna GTR, the Lamborghini Sian, the Ducati Panigale V4 R, and even the new Batmobile among many others. Each of these builds is more than just a great looking representation of these vehicles, they’re also a challenging and rewarding building experience. LEGO is set to release a new 1:5 scale model, this time of the two-wheel variety. The new BMW M 1000 RR motorcycle will be a welcome and stunning addition to your Technic collection.
The LEGO Technic BMW M 1000 RR is just about as perfect a model of the bike as you can get. It comes with both front and rear suspension, a gold chain transmission, steering, a four-piston engine, and a three-speed gearbox. The bike comes in the classic livery—red, white, and blue with gloss black for the directional rims and the M-sport brake callipers. Once you have the 1,920 pieces completely assembled, the bike will measure 27 cm high by 45 cm long and 17 cm wide. It also comes with a racing stand and an exhibition stand.
“When the management of BMW Motorrad announced the first M model on two wheels, the MBW M 1000 RR, everyone knew that it would be special,” said Ralf Rodepeter, the head of marketing and product management at BMW Motorrad. “In the same way, the LEGO Technic team realized they needed to come up with something unprecedented to pay tribute to the M RR. The result is a motorcycle and a technical model that each represent the state of the art in their respective fields.”
Adding this build to your collection will have to wait for the new year as the Technic BMW M 1000 RR won’t be available until January 1, 2022. At that time, you can purchase the model for $230 on the LEGO website.
