Brit-pop phenomenon Oasis has added another date to its ever-expanding 2025 Australian tour, with a fifth show now scheduled. The follow-up announcement comes just days after the band confirmed two additional shows in both Sydney and Melbourne for the much-anticipated Australian leg of the world tour. In late October and early November of 2025, reunited brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher will bring their unique brand of British rock Down Under, performing a string of hits from their more than three-decade-long career. The 2025 Oasis tour will mark the first time the band has performed live in Australia since 2006 when the English rockers travelled as part of the Don’t Believe the Truth World Tour. This time around, things will be very different.

First confirmed in August, the Oasis reunion tour has made headlines for several reasons. Prior to the announcement, masterminds and brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher famously had not performed live together since 2009, following a very public row that included a brief libel lawsuit and a myriad of online spats. Many questioned if the duo would ever be able to patch things up; however, a shock statement released on 27 August 2024 revealed a reunion 15 years in the making.
“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” a statement posted to the Manchester band’s social channels read. The announcement was proceeded by confirmation that tour dates in “other continents outside of Europe” would soon follow.
The initial 17 dates of the Oasis Live ’25 tour sold out immediately, with event organisers labelling it “the biggest concert launch ever seen in the UK and Ireland.” Reports indicate that over 10 million fans from 158 countries queued to buy tickets, and all North American dates sold out within an hour of going on sale. Now, it is Australia’s turn.
“People of the land down under. “You better run-you better take cover…” We are coming. You are most welcome,” the band wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The long-awaited reunion tour coincides with the upcoming 30th anniversary of the band’s iconic sophomore album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, which sold a record-breaking 345,000 copies in its first week in the U.K. before going on to spend 10 weeks at number one on the U.K. Albums Chart. The feat was repeated earlier this year, when the band claimed its eighth U.K. No. 1 album with the 30th anniversary of their electrifying debut album, Definitely Maybe, while at the same time occupying two other spots in the top five U.K. albums chart.
In recent years, Oasis has seen a massive resurgence in the streaming era, with the band generating over 27 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone and nearly 12.5 billion streams to date across platforms. This comes as both Noel and Liam enjoy successful careers outside of Oasis, the former with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and the latter as a solo artist.
The Oasis Australian tour is being helmed by international entertainment company Live Nation, which is responsible for producing the entire multi-country tour. Australian Oasis presale tickets are available now until 8am AEDT on Wednesday, 9 October 2024, while general public tickets will go on sale from Tuesday, 15 October 2024, and are available for purchase via Ticketmaster.

Will Oasis Australia Tickets Feature Dynamic Pricing?
Ticketmaster has not yet confirmed ticket prices for Oasis Australian shows; however, it has revealed that the dynamic ticket pricing model that caused chaos in the U.K. will not be adopted for the Australian shows. This is in line with the recently announced North American leg of the world tour.
Upon announcement, the Oasis tour quickly became one of the most coveted in recent memory, with ticket websites reportedly crashing due to the surge in demand. The Independent reported that some fans were left waiting in a queue simply to get on the websites for Ticketmaster, SeeTickets and Gigs and Tours. When they finally gained access to the ticket portal, a rude shock was waiting for them.
While standing tickets for the U.K. shows were initially priced at £148 and standard seated tickets ranging from £73 to £205, Ticketmaster’s “in demand” ticket pricing more than doubled the price of standing tickets. As Aljazeera reported, by the afternoon, allocations were already sold out and some tickets were listed for more than $6,000 on resale sites. The price increase was due to a structure known as ‘dynamic pricing’, whereby businesses raise the cost of specific products in response to high demand, similar to the Uber surge charge.
The decision to implement dynamic pricing on a long-awaited event such as the Oasis reunion tour generated widespread criticism, prompting a response from band members Laim and Noel Gallagher.
“It is widely accepted that dynamic pricing remains a useful tool to combat ticket touting and keep prices for a significant proportion of fans lower than the market rate and thus more affordable,” Oasis wrote in a statement when the North American concerts were announced.
“But, when unprecedented ticket demand (where the entire tour could be sold many times over at the moment tickets go on sale) is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it becomes less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans.”
Oasis Pre-Sale
According to event producer Live Nation, presale registration for the 2025 Oasis Australian tour is now open and will run until 8am AEDT on Wednesday, 9 October 2024. The presale system is being run via ballot process, with Australian fans urged to sign up to the Oasis platform to receive updates and access to the ticketing portal. To sign up, visit the Oasis presale web page and enter your details. If you’re selected to get access to the Oasis Live ’25 Fan Presale, you’ll receive a unique code from OpenStage to the email address you signed up with. You must be selected to access the queues during this presale.
In a statement posted on the official presale website, the organisers wrote: “To ensure the maximum number of fans have a fair opportunity to access tickets, applicants will be selected for the pre-sale via a ballot.”
Ticketmaster has confirmed there is a presale limit of four tickets per customer. According to the ticketing platform, the limit has been put in place by the tour to “give more fans the chance to access tickets”.
