Urwerk UR-120

Sci-fi fans should relish in the fact that Urwerk exists as it does. No other watchmaker comes close to the maison when it comes to sheer ingenuity, creativity and avant-garde design. The UR-120 is the latest and greatest from the atelier, embellishing with it the wonderful tenets that Urwerk has become so known and loved for. What we have in the UR-120 is a sandblasted titanium and steel case with hinged lugs, Urwerk’s signature satellite display of time and an element of open working that is truly spectacular. The UR-120 is not your bread-and-butter Urwerk timepiece. Rather, it’s a different take, albeit intriguing take, on some of modern horology’s finest watchmaking. Love it.

Arnold son luna magna platinum

Arnold & Son Luna Magna Platinum

With a case made of platinum and a dial made of a meteorite, the Arnold & Son Luna Magna Platinum is a triumph of brilliant aesthetics coupled with ingenious chronometry. I particularly the unique look of the meteorite dial, which Arnold & Son has actually finished with a sand-coloured PVD treatment.
The main meteorite dial is offset by that beautifully soft white opal sub-dial at at 12 o’clock, and is complimented by the immense moonphase at the bottom of the dial which actually measures 12mm. The moonphase’s shadow side is crafted from the same meteorite material used on the dial, while its sun-drenched hemisphere is made from opal.

Vacheron Constantin Égérie Collection Additions

Last but most certainly not least comes from Vacheron Constantin with two new and very beautiful additions to its acclaimed Égérie collection. The first comes in the form of the Égérie Moon Phase, complete with a pink gold case, a bezel wet with 58 round-cut diamonds and a moonphase indicator surrounded by 36 round-cut diamonds. The second is the Égérie Self-Winding, featuring similar aesthetic details as its moon phase counterpart, albeit minus that extra complication replaced with a date indicator in the same off-centre spot. Gorgeous and eloquent.
