ReachOut Australia Launches ReachOut, Level Up Streaming Fundraiser for August
Youth support organisation ReachOut Australia has announced a new fundraising initiative designed to help those in the gaming community. From August 25th to 31st, the charity will launch ReachOut, Level Up streaming initiative, a project that brings together streamers and ambassadors from around the nation to help raise funds and awareness for crucial youth mental health support programs in Australia.
According to ReachOut, the week-long event will be hosted on Twitch and feature a diverse lineup of streamers, whether gaming, arts and crafts tutorials or just chatting. It comes off the back of new data, which revealed that 40% of young people in Australia currently face mental health challenges, with suicide being the leading cause of death among 14 – 25 year olds.
“We recognise that after friends and family, the internet is often the first place young people turn to for support when experiencing mental health difficulties. We know that a large portion of young people are both online and gaming, so we are excited to launch this fundraiser to build awareness of ReachOut’s services and connect with these young gamers where they are,” said Tracey Campbell, Director of Marketing and Fundraising at ReachOut. “By partnering with Twitch streamers, we aim to create awareness among their audiences that there is a safe space available if they’re going through tough times or looking for that extra support”.
ReachOut, Level Up will be taking place from August 25th to 31st on Twitch. To learn more, donate and get involved, visit the link below.

Parley for the Oceans and Belmond Team Up
Iconic luxury accommodation and travel experience operator Belmond has announced a new partnership with Parley for the Oceans to champion and inspire a network of Ocean Guardians. The new collaboration will provide Belmond’s properties with a framework for expanding their commitment to be loyal custodians of the ecosystems and communities they collaborate with. With an existing legacy of sustainable practices, Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, Riviera Maya, has been selected as Belmond’s symbol of change to pilot this new partnership.
“Every project and partnership we explore at Parley begins with a mutual love for the oceans and a desire to foster closer connections to the natural world,” states Cyrill Gutsch, founder of Parley for the Oceans. “Our alliance with Belmond is not about ‘eco-tourism,’ it’s about redefining luxury travel that is rooted in purpose and the sense of connection to place that is already central to the Belmond ethos, to support and empower local Ocean Guardians. Maroma will become an epicentre and facilitator for change. It goes far beyond removing plastics from the hotel, this is about recognizing that each hotel isn’t isolated but rather an influential part of an interconnected community and ecosystem.”
The partnership will see initiatives and areas of impact that range from active conservation and operational changes to ocean education, designed to drive long-term positive changes in the surrounding community and ecosystem.
