KFC Opens First-Ever Nightclub
Kicking off from 8pm-3am on Saturday 21st October, KFC is sashaying its way onto the d-floor with its very own nightclub, for one night only – the Fried Side Club. The event will be headlined by Aussie producer, Luude, along with support from fellow Aussie artists, Kinder and Foura.
The Fried Side Club will be hosted at a top-secret location in central Sydney, partygoers who score a ticket to the Fried Side Club will have the address revealed just 48 hours beforehand. Attendees will get KFC’s FREE Luude’s Zinger® Sliders which are part of KFC’s Secret Menu and are available from today (04.10).
Tasty KFC x Luude t-shirts and KFC sliders (the ones for your feet) will be available for ultimate fans, with all merch and ticket sales supporting the KFC Youth Foundation and its charity partners. To get your hands on a ticket to the Fried Side Club, head here.
Zambrero’s on a Feel Good Mex Mission to End World Hunger
Join Zambrero on Friday, 13th October, at The Venue located at 55 Doody Street, Alexandria, for a special meal-packing event. They’ve invited the public to volunteer and support Zambrero’s Feel Good Mex mission, aimed at ending world hunger. This crucial initiative provides an opportunity for individuals to give back and make a meaningful difference by packing life-saving meals.
On Plate 4 Plate Day, volunteers from all corners of the country come together to pack hundreds of thousands of meals in just one day. Last year, their dedicated volunteers, in collaboration with distribution partner Rise Against Hunger, packed an incredible total of 430,000 meals for those in need. This year, they will aim to surpass this remarkable achievement and make an even greater impact.
For those unable to volunteer in person, Zambrero offers an alternative way to contribute. For every participating order that includes a (big or regular) burrito, bowl, kids Zam Box, and/or retail item sold, the food chain will double the meal donations in all our restaurants. This means your meal purchase not only satisfies your cravings but also helps provide meals to those who need it most.
rebel & adidas Launch Limited Edition Collection with Lifeline
This week rebel and adidas have launched a limited edition collection in partnership with Lifeline, in support of World Mental Health Day on October 10. ‘The Collab Collection’ includes a 6-piece capsule of t-shirts, water bottles, soccer balls, caps, and more.
The collection features bespoke artwork by Sydney-based artist, Mulga (Joel Moore). 100% of profits from the sale of the collection will be donated to Lifeline to support its vision of an Australia free of suicide. adidas will also donate $1 for every adidas product sold at rebel from 3 – 31 October to Lifeline.
City of Ryde Welcomes its Inaugural and Distinctive Brewery
The City of Ryde now has its first modern brewery, with Village Days Brewing Co. opening in
Gladesville. Inspired by the rich history of the area – the original home of Australian brewing – the
brewery brings together Ryde locals to enjoy fresh, local beer and good times.
The brewery has been founded by Dan Smith, an experienced homebrewer and beer enthusiast,
who’s passionate about delivering great beer, a great experience, and making a positive impact on
the local community.
Situated in a warehouse off Victoria Road, Gladesville, the space is warehouse chic featuring a mural
wall by well-known Australian artist Clare Foxton. With many of the brewery team having young
families, the large warehouse space has been designed to create different zones to offer everyone a
welcoming environment.
The ‘Village’, located in the Glade View Business Park at 436-484 Victoria Road, is open now. To
celebrate, the brewery will be hosting an Oktoberfest celebration this weekend, 6-8 October,
featuring two new specialty German beers.
Spotify launches Premium Audiobooks, Offering Australia First Access to 150,000 audiobooks
Spotify users in Australia can now get even more from their premium subscriptions with the launch of Premium Audiobooks; a catalogue of 150,000 audiobooks that are now available for up to 15 hours of listening per month. Additionally, 10-hour allocations can be purchased as top-ups whenever needed. The new addition to Spotify’s premium subscription enables more listeners than ever to discover and engage with books, paving the way for future innovation for the audiobook format.
R.M. Williams Launches ‘Trade In Your Boots’ Initiative
R.M.Williams has introduced a new initiative, inviting customers to trade in their beloved R.M.Williams boots in exchange for a $100 voucher towards a fresh pair. This initiative aligns with the brand’s commitment to sustainability, enhancing product circularity. The traded-in boots will either be repaired at the R.M. Williams workshop in Adelaide or integrated into the RE.MADE program or recycled by Tread Lightly, a Melbourne-based organization that transforms old boots into anti-fatigue factory mats, gym flooring, and retail flooring.
Customers can participate in-store by bringing their boots to any R.M.Williams store or online by requesting a free returns label.
