  • Cadillac-estimated 615 hp and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque
  • Cadillac-estimated 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds with Velocity Max
  • Multi-layered, unique exterior and interior signature sound
  • Competitive Mode with traction management features to increase vehicle agility

With a 0-60mph acceleration time of just 3.3 seconds, the 458kW (615HP) LYRIQ-V is the fastest-accelerating production Cadillac in history. Excitingly, it’s coming to Australia in early 2026 to round out the local LYRIQ electric SUV line-up that already includes the Cadillac LYRIQ Luxury (from AU$117,000 plus on-road costs) and Cadillac LYRIQ Sport (from AU$119,000 plus on-road costs).

Pricing for the Australian market has not yet been confirmed, but if the USD$79,990 starting price (approx. AUD$128,000) is anything to go by, we’d expect the LYRIQ-V to be priced from around AUD$140,000 plus on-roads when it lands on our shores early next year.

“V-Series captures the spirit of Cadillac, embodying our relentless pursuit of engineering excellence through our racing and production vehicles,” said John Roth, Vice President of Global Cadillac. “LYRIQ-V takes this commitment a step further in the EV era, pushing our performance pedigree of V-Series to new heights with a powerful, personalized and high-tech driving experience that fits perfectly into our customers’ lives.”

The LYRIQ-V sends its power to the ground through a dual-motor all-wheel drive set-up that produces a “Cadillac-estimated” 615 hp and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. It’s powered by a 102 kWh battery pack with a Cadillac-estimated 285 miles (459km) of range, which makes it, understandably, the least efficient model in the LYRIQ line-up. If you want the ultimate driving range, you’re still better off choosing the standard AWD model with 530km (European WLTP).

However, if you want power and performance then it’s the LYRIQ-V that you’ll want with changes that include new interior and exterior signature sounds, customisable traction management features, Brembo performance front brake calipers, a quicker steering ratio, and Standard Continuous Damping Control, which has been specifically calibrated for LYRIQ-V.

This is all controlled through a V-Mode system that allows the driver to configure exactly what they want from the car and then access it at the press of a button on the steering wheel. If you’re familiar with the BMW ‘M’ modes found in cars like the M3 Competition xDrive then you’ll be familiar with this system.

The standard Launch Control (accessible in V-Mode or Velocity Max) helps the Cadillac LYRIQ-V accelerate from 0-60mp/h in 3.3 seconds.

Visually, the Cadillac LYRIQ-V stands out with a unique lower front fascia and side rockers, body colored lower trim, and available carbon fiber accents. It’s a subtle change to an already striking vehicle, and besides the 22-inch wheels, black painted roof, V-Series logo on the rear doors and the tailgate, and the unique chin spoiler, rockers, and V-pattern mesh on the front lower grille you would struggle to tell the difference between this and the top-spec AWD models.

The theme continues on the inside, and Cadillac hasn’t taken away all of the goodness from the standard model. This includes the panoramic fixed glass roof, 23 speaker AKG Studio Audio System with Dolby Atmos, and 33-inch-diagonal advanced LED display.

You gain a specific LYRIQ-V steering wheel with the V-Mode button, a sport rim with sculpted hand grips and an aluminum Regen On Demand paddle. That’s on top of the following equipment, which is all standard in US market vehicles:

  • Power-adjustable seat bolsters for the seatbacks and seat cushions
  • Specific customization options reflecting the V-Series persona on the infotainment
  • Signature V-Series illuminated sill plate
  • Standard paperwood décor, available Nappa leather seating and available embroidery

Expect the Cadillac LYRIQ-V to undercut the all-electric SUV competition from Germany and China in price as it competes directly with the Mercedes-AMG EQE53 SUV (from AUD$191,900 plus on-roads), BMW iX (from $239,387 plus on-roads), Polestar 3 (from $132,720 plus on-roads), Lotus Eletre (from AUD$189,990 plus on-roads), and Porsche Macan (from AUD$128,400 plus on-road costs).
