Following the announcement of its first ever smart speaker, Bose revealed two new soundbars perfect for elevating your home theatre to the next level. Bose Soundbar 700 is priced at AUD $1119.95, and Soundbar 500 is 799.95. Both are available in Australia from October 11.
Bose Soundbar 700 was engineered to matching its stunning performance with equally stunning design. Measuring just over 5cm high by 10cm deep and 96 cm long, it has curved, clean lines, a wraparound metal grille, and a sophisticated tempered glass top.
Inside, it’s packed with Bose’s proprietary technology. PhaseGuides place discrete sound in places where there are no speakers. Bose DSP, custom low-profile transducers, and QuietPort technology deliver exceptional detail and depth for music, crystal clear dialogue for Netflix, and dramatic realism for sports. To manage the TV or other connected equipment, the Bose Soundbar 700 also comes with an intelligent universal remote.
Soundbar 500 is a workhorse, letting you switch seamlessly from audio for video to music. At 4cm high x 10cm deep and just over 78cm long, it’s smaller, thinner, and features a subtle matte finish to fit neatly under a television screen.
Both soundbars use Bose’s ADAPTiQ technology to acoustically adjust to their surroundings and HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) for compatibility with future technology. They can be wall-mounted or expanded with a wireless bass module and rear speakers for a full 5.1 experience. There’s Alexa support to boot. Nice!
