Hold On, There’s Now an Official LEGO ‘The Office’ Set

In the wise words of Michael Scott, “An office is a place where dreams come true”. Sure, that might not be your experience with your current band of coworkers, but this ought to lighten the mood. In a move nearly eight years in the making, LEGO has unveiled an official set based on the iconic TV series The Office

The new LEGO set takes a full-scale approach to the classic sitcom, celebrating some of the best-loved characters and setting from the series’ nine seasons. Inside the set, you’ll find 15 mini-figures, including fan favourites Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam, Kevin, Oscar, Angela, Ryan, Stanley, Kelly, Phyllis, Meredith, Creed and Darryl. Unfortunately, even Toby gets a mini-figure, which is weird because he’s not a part of The Office family. Also, he’s divorced, so he’s really not a part of his family.

Pretty much everywhere you look in The Office LEGO set, you’ll find a nod to a past joke and inside reference, from Jim’s stapler in jelly prank to the infamous fire starter from Dwight’s beleaguered fire drill test. Best of all, there are a host of different settings for fans to build and explore. The set includes the reception area and conference room, along with Michael’s office and two desk islands.

The new LEGO The Office set comes by way of fan designer Jaijai Lewis, who previously attempted to have the product made, but was turned down twice. Through the LEGO IDEAS initiative, fans are able to submit their designs to the platform and have them reviewed by the community.

If a concept gets over 10,000 supporters, they are shipped through to LEGO to determine if the product is viable for production. While Lewis attempted to have The Office set made in both 2015 and 2019, this year’s edition is the first to finally make its way into LEGO stores.

The 1,164-piece set isn’t short on size either. The LEGO The Office set measures in at over three inches high, 12 inches wide and 10 inches deep. Needless to say, that’s what she said.

You can pre-order the new set for USD$120 (AUD$179.99) via the official LEGO online store. It will be released on October 1 and will launch internationally, meaning you can take in all your favourite moments no matter where you live.
