Sneaker News #14 is here and it’s packed full of the latest must-have drops. The most hyped releases this week come courtesy of Nike and Adidas. Nike is rolling out another Dunk High colourway as the silhouette continues its big comeback. Adidas, on the other hand, has teamed with Star Wars, delivering shoes inspired by characters from the iconic series. New Balance and Reebok also have new colourways of popular silhouettes on the way.

Air Max 1 Limeade
Nike is throwing it back to 2006 this week by bringing back the Limeade colourway of one of their most famous silhouettes the Air Max 1. The shoe was originally dropped as part of “Powerwall” collection which celebrated the history of the Air Max. Re-sellers have sold this shoe for thousands of dollars previously but that’s set to change as the Limeade returns to Nike’s store. It’s a vibrant, rich green shoe that comes just as the weather begins to heat up.
Nike Dunk High Spartan Green
Nike has spent much of the year rolling out new colourways of the Nike Dunk Low as it has faced a huge resurgence. Now, it’s the Nike Dunk High’s chance to have a revival as a new colourway arrives. The Spartan Green features a leather upper and a mesh tongue while sporting a moss green swoosh.
Air Jordan 14 Hyper Royal
The Air Jordan 14 was worn by Michael Jordan during his final championship run and now 22 years later it’s copping a Hyper Royal reboot. The white, blue and black colourway looks to the future while also tapping into Jordan fans’ nostalgia. It also features its signature carbon fibre shank plate and OG packaging. Expect these ones to go quickly when they launch at Nike on 16th September at 6am.
Adidas ZX 8000 DeadHYPE Shoes
Adidas’ ZX 8000 is getting a purple update this week as the brand combines forces with Berlin collection DeadHYPE. DeadHYPE is an agency working particularly in underground music in the city. They have given the shoe a bold update, removing the famous Three Stripe branding in favour of something more minimal. The shoe is set to drop 17th September at 10pm GMT on Adidas.
Adidas x Star Wars NMD_R1 V2 Lando Calrissian Shoes
Adidas has teamed up with ‘Star Wars’ for a series of shoes inspired by characters of the iconic series. This one sees the NMD_R1 meet a new colourway inspired by Lando Calrissian, the character introduced in 1980 film ‘The Empire Strikes Back‘. The character was recently played by Donald Glover who we can imagine rocking these. The shoe is packed with detail from a special lace jewel to a poster on the tongue. The boost midsole ensures you stay comfy while proudly announcing your ‘Star Wars’ fandom. The shoe drops 17th September at 10pm GMT on Adidas.
New Balance 530 White & Silver
New Balance is having a stellar year with a handful of highly anticipated drops reviving the brand. The 530 is a favourite and it’s getting a crisp new colourway that’s all-white bar the silver ‘N’. This one is for those that know how to keep their sneakers clean as it’s not going to hide any blemishes. Limited pairs will be released on New Balance on 20th September.
Reebok Instapump Fury OG Shoes
One of Reebok’s most adventurous silhouettes the Instapump is getting a new colourway. Inspired by archive ‘Fury’ characters, you can rep your favourite here with Reebok planning to roll out five new colourways, each heel featuring one of the Legion of Fury. All the usual Instapump trimmings are there too including the Pump technology which offers a snug, customised fit. This one drops on Reebok 30th September at 12am GMT.
